    credit expires after 90 days

    :(

    • better than 30 days!

      • -3

        yes… but it shouldn't expire at all…

        • tell me which company let you have your credits more than 12 months!

        • -2

12 months is the longest i've seen, but they shouldn't be allowed to expire…

if you pay for a service, then they should be required to provide it, or give you a refund…

          (Most VOIP credits don't expire….)

        • +1

how come whenever i see jv commenting on a bargain, 'most' of the time, it's complaining?

    • +2

Yeah, 90 days is pretty good. Some providers give you less than that.

  • Cheapest network around for the low user imho. 15c/min, 0c flagfall. Cant get much better than that!

  • I may be dense, but I don't see anything about $30 cashback?

    • i think you visit MBC and click the link to activate the sim

      • So who is the money back from? Wouldn't there be some info on amaysim's website if it was legitimate?

As there doesn't seem to be much detail on it, perhaps the cashback can't be used in conjunction with other offers, which I am sure they would classify Groupon as.

        • well i think you're new to MBC, go here and read it or read MBC posts in the forum.

    • Need activate the sim via MBC
      http://www.moneybackco.com.au/merchants/amaysim/

      Moneyback per activated SIM card.

      • Are they a legitimate company? How would you buy the sim through them, and get the Groupon deal?

MBC asks for a referrers email address…want to give me yours? you may get something for it! Just PM it if you want!

        • Just activate it through MBC. It doesn't say anything about purchasing it through MBC link.

          Are they a legitimate company?

          Yes they are

MBC asks for a referrers email address…want to give me yours?

          PM send

          Here is the discussion.

Moneybackco is definitely legit. It's been around as long as OzBargain. On some deals, you will see the MBC symbol underneath, where if you click through it you will receive cashback.

          E.G. http://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/41790

Power, you should have just written: $5 for free. The sim card is just a bonus!

        • done

      • Wow, so I could make a lot of money from this. Order a few $5 SIMs from amaysim and activate them all through MBC.

        • i think there must be a limit 1-2 per account but let hope i'm wrong
let wait for a confirmation from Steve

      • +1

take note, MBC charges a $10 annual fee. so $30 cashback will actually be $20 for new signups. but if you're already a member with them, or have remaining "credit" left in your MBC account, go for it!

  • i presume these work with all Optus locked phones ???

    • Yes.

    • Powered by Optus' 3G dual band network, amaysim's coverage includes 96% of the Australian population.

      so yes

  • I got one of these yesterday but didn't realise you could get the $5 cashback too! Thanks for sharing!

    • you welcome :)

    • Wad'ya mean $5? I thought it was $30 cashback.

      • I mean in total you'd be getting $5 + a sim, rather than paying $25 for a sim (if you didn't go ahead with the MBC cashback.

  • How is it $82 value? $50 credit and 3x data packs (usually $9.90 each) is not equal to $82.

    • plus 3GB of DATA

$25 for a sim card from Amaysim that gives you $50 worth of credit for use on calls, texts and data, plus three GB of data ($82 value).

      • Yeah I know. But the data comes as 3 x 1GB data packs which are usually $9.90 each.

  • So do you buy the groupon, wait for the SIM to arrive, then via the link in the MBC website, activate the SIM on the amaysim site???

  • Don't forget this…

Recommend us and we’ll top up your credit

so $15 in your pocket :)

    • So I just refer myself 3 times and sign up with different email addresses and I don't have to pay $25 for this deal.

      • go for it
btw where can i find the referral link?

  • If you would like a referral (which gives $10 more free credit to you), please message me your name and email address, I'll send it over quickly:

  • This may be a captain obvious question, but why not go to the grocery store, buy a $2 SIM start-up pack (presuming one exists for this company), register that and be up $28 instead of just $5?

    • Yes, you can get them at 7-Eleven and other places for $2. You can also buy them online from the amaysim site for $5 (gives you $5 credit) and free delivery.

      • Haha, that was a captain obvious question that hadn't been answered. It's $5 if you buy it from their site.

      • Then why bother with the Groupon unless you want to actually use the phone credit?

        • true

        • Exactly.

If you want to use the sim for cheap calls and such. Go through Groupon/Stardeals.
If you are just after the cashback and won't use the sim, go through 7/11, post office, wherever they sell em.

    • i think post office stock $2 stater kit too

  • +1

    got it!
buy this deal via this link and I can get $10. Thanks in advance!

    • Only if they sign up for a new account from that link as well as buy.

  • To clarify, you need to buy the SIM through MBC to be eligible for cashback. If you buy through Groupon/Stardeals they will get the commission.

I have put a limit of 2 SIMs per member until I hear back from the network to prevent the obvious from happening.

    Steve.

    • Oh dear……so buy $5 pack from Amaysim & get $25 free once activated via MBC?
Darn, need to edit this post now before they gonna turn the tide on me.

  • How reliable is this MoneyBackCo thing? I heard they charge a $10 fee?

    • very reliable, been with them more than 3 years and got no problem if you do the right tracking.
      yes $10 fee /year

      • main thing to remember is the $10 fee only applies if you have moneyback, if not then you lose nothing from it.

  • Mod: It won't let me report anymore as I already done.

    please do discussion here

    • yep reported!

      • thanks mate!

        • oh damn, that's lame…
I bought one of these $25 groupon deals based on the fact I could get the moneyback deal…
now they've changed the conditions and I can't claim the $30 moneyback??

          i hate when that happens… :(
