Hi all

Just picked up one of these and thought I'd share the love with my fellow bargain hunters. Been looking at this for a few months and it is the best price I have found yet. Also for the price the wattage is decent, getting more than a flashy speaker :).

super good deal. got from ebgames for $232

So, besides the rgb, are the speakers decent? Not to keen on having a seizue strobe party

  • +2

    Add RGB
    Add 'Gaming' Tag
    Instant profit

I don't see how speakers can be 'gaming' since anyone who takes 'gaming' seriously would want to use headphones anyway.

You can play games for fun you know

      • -3

Can you? I only play them to make my dong bigger.

    • would want to use headphones anyway.

      Why?

    • They increase the bass for kids and over saturate the frequencies FPS use for gunshots and such.

Really cool, good price but over spending my money on things like this :) Plus from me though!

    • If you’ve got anything else to buy hit up the AMEX offer to make things cheaper…

  • "RGB gamer themed" tax is real

  • Frequency response: 40Hz – 18kHz

Cannot reproduce the human hearing range of 20-20k Hz. Yeah, it is a pair of gaming speakers alright… they are not good for music.

    • They're probably being honest.

There's no standardised condition for testing if audio equipment can reproduce 20-20khz, some companies are more honest and limit themselves to -1db or -3db, some others don't give a (profanity) and allow -6db and -9db, that's how you end up with ridiculous ranges like 10hz-40k hz (like a lot of sony's earphones and headphones). There's also no standard for what kind of audio track/noise they test with, they can test with audio files that have been digitally mixed 40k hz for all you know. This also doesn't account for distortion at all.

-1db is noticeable for stereo matching, -2db starts to get very annoying

As for speakers, you'd be hard pressed to find tweeters that really reach 20k hz within -3db without spending high triple digits. Just for the satellites. Same for subs with 20hz. 40hz is very respectable if it's within -3db.

Next time maybe learn a little about stuff before being snarky.

  • Great price, picked mine up for ~180 a few weeks ago and still loving them. Software is a bit unintuitive but they work well and are of good quality.

  • I picked these up from Harvey Norman a few weeks ago for the same price when they were having a Logitech sale, great price considering they are only a few months old

  • Hahaha. RGB all the things!!

  • Nothing beats the soundsticks for under $300 mark.

    • Logitech speakers sound SHIT. Over-heavy yet muddy mid-bass and zero treble. These poxy things don't even have tweeters in them.

  • How does this compare to Z623 which I own. I like rgb stuff. But sound quality is more important.

    • Sound quality is great on this, really packs a punch on the bass. I don't own the Z623 so I would not be able to give a comparison. It does offer blue tooth to the speaker as well so might be something to consider. I play songs from my phone in the morning.
