Lots of bad reviews for this product. Might be in the bargain bin if you wait a few months. Unless you really want it for your shelf (only reason to buy this letdown of a console).
This thing is pure trash.
I want one of these just to add it to the collection, but I'm going to wait. Sony doesn't deserve over 100 dollars for this bare bones product that they've put the least amount of effort possible into.
Why collect a "clone"? Just buy an original one, FFS.

Seems like the modding community has already cracked the device and were able to add additional games, as well as change region settings that made playing the stock games controversial (50hz, slower speed etc).
It's only a matter of time when it becomes a fully fledged ps1 emulator box.

I'm pretty sure I read it's even using an open source emulator, or at least some GPL code. So essentially Sony have produced a pretty expensive case & controller
This is in a nostalgic form factor, comes with PlayStation 1 controllers that just work and doesn’t require any mucking around with SD cards or installing whatever software/following instructions that never work properly.

The PSX Mini uses the same emulator as that used for Raspberry Pis. So you’re argument makes no sense.

I mentioned that to them as I had paid full price (with cash rewards) and they gave me a $10 credit, good company is good. Ordered 2 4k movies instantly.
I'm returning mine from Amazon even though I had 20% cashback ($119.20). I didn't open it, but it arrived damaged box wise, and this thing will go sub $100 soon. Sony fk'd up.
Good price compares to the RRP, but this is a piece of rubbish release from Sony.
