    It's not quite sitewide.

      That's almost a Myer-esque exclusion list

      • +1

        Includes: BLAQ (end of list)

        • Hahahahhaha! Underrated comment

    • +6

      Do they stock anything else?

      • Huawei?

  • +2

Did the price went up for this? Because I was looking at

    https://www.harveynorman.com.au/lg-570l-slim-french-door-fri…

few days ago and the price after cashback was same as The Good Guys, which was $2395, but now their price is $2343 after cashback and 10% discount.

    • +4

      An item I was looking at was $349 yesterday, it's $342 today (i.e., $380 before 10% off).

    • +1

I have this fridge, Highly recommend. I got it for around 2280 from HN on a price from good guys 10% off. But also got a $180 gift card. Plus $200 cashback

  • So will red dead redemption 2 be considered part of the deal?

    • "Excludes… …gaming consoles, games…"

      • Games sold under agency agreements whatever that is.

        • "…games and products sold under agency agreements."
Just go to the HN site and look up Red Dead Redemption 2. It is $69 and it is not 10% off.

    • First thing I checked lol

  • +1

Amex stack for those who have it

  • +2

So what does this deal include lol

  • +10

With such a long list of exclusions it's pretty cheeky of Gerry to call this "storewide"

    • +1

He's old. Plus he's too close to the gates in the clouds to care about his business anymore.

      • Gates in the clouds?

        • +5

          He's old.

        • +3

Lol he's not going to the gates in the clouds.

      • +1

I hope he gets charged gst on his gates

  • +14

Now that everyone else is paying GST Gerry be like "here's 10% off"

  • +22

Nice. 10% off overpriced crap from the biggest shister owner in history Gerry Harvey. Ever since Gerry’s crew refused me a refund on Caveman Ugulympics when I was 6 I have never gone back. That was all my Dollarmites savings blown on a stupid game that wouldn’t work on my 086!

  • +2

    I don't see any deals… mostly 10% off RRP. Nice try Harvey…

    • Haha correct. Their prices are 100% more than other sellers, so 10% off still does not make it a bargain.

  • Can anyone suggest a good-value compact/travel camera?

    • +3

Nowadays the best thing is to use your phone. The photographic technology built into many of the phones puts many a compact camera to shame.

      • Yep grab a Google Pixel 3 for your travel camera

    • Nikon a900 is a competitive price

If you have the Amex offer then even better

    • The Sony RX100 is the way to go for a compact

      • I have one. TBH I don't love it for macro work.

  • +1

If you combine with the American Express cashback, you can pick up a pair of Sony XM3’s for $309.10.

  • Apple HomePod stacked with Amex at $353.20 seems ok

    • +4

HomePod isn’t showing the discount either. If there are more exclusions Gerry, the least you can do is list them all!

  • I was looking at a Nikon D3500. It was $647. Now with 10% off it costs $647. Thanks HN. Still a decent price but I think I'll price match at JB.

    • You can get a D5600 for that

      • True, but it's the twin lens kit with the D3500, and given it was $1000 just a couple of weeks ago, it's not bad at all. The 70-300mm lens is in itself about $350.

New mount is already out. You're gonna buy this knowing that it is already beyond obsolete? In a couple years, there wont be any sort of f mount support left, let alone DX.

          • +1

@fuzor: None of your statement makes sense

            • @stickymoo: What doesn't make sense? The combination of a new Z mount from here on, as well as mirrorless tech taking over makes this obsolete even before you buy it from the shop.

        • @fuzor For $650 I can buy a very capable entry-level DSLR with two lenses. Being a photography novice, I don't really want to spend $3k for a camera plus $1k for a z-mount lens. And, at least in my opinion, the D3500 is superior to similarly priced mirrorless cameras, you just sacrifice the compactness of it which isn't a big problem for me.

          • +1

            @CaptainTrentos: It’s not even comparable.

The D3500 is new & has access to one of the largest pools of great lenses available.

It will be well & truely worn out from years & years of use before anything else.

I can’t see investing in the lens system being an issues for decades

    • +1

Same, I had it bookmarked as a present. Was $647, now with 10% is $647??? - c'mon Team Gerry. Dodgy AF.

I'm with you, JB price match on principle, and they are just down the road.

Also Teds camera stores have a price match link on their site.

PS4 PRo 1TB @ HN $559, @ Amazon.com.au $519 - Can we ask HN to price match Amazon and then 10% off + AMEX cashback? Will come to $417. I am not sure if 417 is a great deal. if it works out?

    • +1

      Excludes gaming consoles

    • +2

Why would HN match it and then give 10% off lol come on..

  • they dont sell any chromebooks :(

    • I just installed windows on my ASUS chromebook via Kodi. Moved away from Gsuite

  • Doesn't apply to video cards.

    • apparently it works now.. maybe cached

10% off brings it down to $1141
    If it does apply

    • Showing as 1268 only

    • If anyone hasn’t been in store are these priced well with the promotions?

  • Damn. The wife just went in there today and bought a Nutribullet for $88, now showing online for $80. Wonder if they'd refund the difference?

    • Buy again and return new one with old receipt.

      • They won’t accept a return for change of mind.

    • +2

The have a price guarantee period. They will refund the price difference

    • See if your CC has a change of mind feature?

  • -1

Planning to buy an iPhone XS Max with the Amex deal but HN refuses to price match eBay stores :(

    • +3

They won't price match unless the other seller has a physical store… Well that's what the 16 year old cashier told me.

      • They refused to price match MobileCiti

        • +1

Honestly Harvey's a pretty shit guy.

  • +3

Excludes: stuff people actually might want to buy

I've ceased giving Gerry my business long time ago.

  • 10% discount is excluded from items that HN price match under their price guarantee

  • Anyone have experience with their interest free for 50 months type deals? Is it really a bad deal in disguise? Whats the catch here with the interest free deals?

    • It's ok if you don't want to outlay the full amount upfront. Nothing is ever free though. Generally you either pay a monthly fee or an upfront fee to sign up to something like a Go Mastercard and that's how they get their end of the deal. I don't recall the exact fee amounts but it's not unreasonable.

  • So is it really 10% everything except excluded?

Because a bit confused some items they marked it as 10% off and some didn't.

  • I've just called Office Works and they price matched me for Mac :)

  • +1

Been keeping my eye on an air conditioning unit for the last week or so, and it is the same price today as it was last week. It also has the 10% off marked on it, so yeah, YMMV.

    • +1

Seems to be the rule of thumb, going by the comments.

So, I'm negging because the prices don't seem to have gone down even though it's 10% off.

      • I noticed a lot of prices stayed the same within the same categories i.e. cameras. But then some went down 10% then some even more.

    • Looking at buying Fujitsu 3.5kW Reverse Cycle Split System Air Conditioner SET-ASTG12KMCA, price is cheaper than thegoodguys so I'm planning to get them to price match and get the $100 cash back via their promotion. Does this sound like a good deal?

      • What promotion is this?

          • @kindra: It's no longer applicable though.

To be eligible, customers must purchase a selected Fujitsu Reverse Cycle Split System Air Conditioner listed below (“Applicable models”) on sale between 22 November 2018 to 28 November 2018 inclusive…

            • @mastablasta: dammit i just bought it and read its claim by 27/12/18, I'm going to see if I can still claim if not I'll return it.

  • Thanks OP. Bought the Note 9 for $1339, and received $200 EFPTPOS credit to be used anywhere. So effectively $1139. Cheers!

    • Did you ask them 10% off because they said storewide.

      • Yes, thats the price after 10% off, otherwise price is $1488
