Yes New Sale Not dupe .

    UE700's aren't worth it :S
Would recommend forking out another $20 or so and buy triple fi 10's. Much better quality IMO.

    • The Logitech Theory of sound: Pump up the bass and screw up the rest of the sound. [Someone else posted the title in WP]
UE700s and UE Triple Fi 10s both suck for their price (Had a listen to them at HK airport)
The UE 400vis might be alright though.. for their price, they'd be a much better alternative than the Apple in-ears with a mic. (But they'll still suck, since UE220s and UE700s both suck, I'd expect UE400 vis to do teh same).
Stick to your awesome keyboards and mouses, Logitech, unless you're going to make a real attempt at trying to get into the Audio Equipment world!

Great regular sale prices by BargainCrypt though.

      • …..
well IMO at $150 triple fi's are extremely nice for tehir price. At even $100, UE700's suck. Bass is rubbish, but nice on the TF10's.
Nice bargain if you really want UE700's or 400vi though…

        • Where are TF10s available for $150? Bought mine from US Amazon a few months ago for $200 and I thought that was a good price.

        • Triple drivers mean jackall, unless the company/manufacturer knows how to fine-tune them, which Logitech clearly doesn't know how.

      • +3

Totally disagree. I'm not a huge audiophile, but I haven't heard another pair of earphones that come close to my 700s for around 100 bucks. The bass isn't particularly overpowering and I can hear the sound of each guitar string individually on any decent quality recording.

It took me about 2 weeks of experimenting with all the different sizes to get the right fit, so listening to some in an airport isn't going to do them justice. Also they sound better again when using the Comply tips, but I'm waaaaaay too lazy to put those in every time.

        • I had the 700s for a while before upgrading to the TF10s and I agree they're great value at $100…you wouldn't want to spend $200+ for them though.

        • +1

The overall sound is decent i guess, but the bass is relatively weak and at higher volumes, the bass is just plain rubbish. At least for my set :P
And I would say there are plenty of better earphones for around $100, just gotta know where to lok ;)

        • I agree. I have the ue700 and love them! The bass isn't too bad, just make sure you only use the comply foam that came with it and fit it properly in your ears otherwise it'll sound worst than the apple earbuds. (just squash and roll the buds before putting it in your ears)

      • -1

        cwongtech
Go and find me any triple driver earphones (don't care how thery are 'fine-tuned') for that price.
Might I ask what earphones you use?

        • Err… just because something is triple driver doesn't necessarily mean it's great. Westone 1s are single-driver and they're better than the Logitech TripleFi 10 [yes.. they are much more expensive but if you want to talk about TRIPLE over single/dual drivers…]. I hope you realise that.
In-ear monitors I have owned include:
          -Sennheiser CX300s
          -Sennheiser CX300iis
          -Sennheiser CX500s
          -Logitech UE220s

          Headphones I have used:
          -Sennheiser HD205s
          -Sennheiser HD228s

Other audio equipment I have listened to [At Hong Kong Airport.. p.s. you can't hear engine noise in a airport! You only hear that when you're IN a plane.]:
          -Westone 1
          -Westone 3
          -Logitech UE600
          -Logitech UE700
          -Logitech TripleFi 10

          Not at Hong Kong Airport:
-Bang & Olufsen laptop speakers + ASUS sonicmaster software tweaking [obviously bass isn't extreme because its on a laptop (don't want your laptop to vibrate..) but SQ is extremely high, my point being here is that the Bang & Olufsen speakers aren't great with the ASUS sonicmaster toggled off, but are EPIC when it's toggled on. The ASUS Sonicmaster stuffs up my HD228s when used on the laptop, so I turn it off when I use headphones. Tweaking matters - Sonicmaster was specifically designed just for the N43, N53 line of ASUS laptops with B&O laptops.]

          heatseeker424
          Your turn

        • B&O speakers*

        • +3

Really? Westone 1 better than TF10s? I really find that hard to believe when on head-fi.org, most people compare the Westone 3 to TF10s and there's about a 50/50 split.

        • @Stix
Relativity as well as subjective views come into play.
I was used to HD228s before I tried them all on Westone 3 owned everything from memory, but had a massive pricetag on it, so it would be possible that the Westone 3 sounded very close to the HD228s and hence me liking them much better.
What I mean by subjectivity is… I didn't notice the CX300s' overpowering bass until I switched from my Sennheiser HD228s to them, and only then did I notice the massive bass.. but after half an hour my ears had adapted and no longer noticed the "overpowering bass" of the CX300s till the next time that I occasionally use them.
However, what one WILL notice no matter whatever you switch to and from, is the missing detail from each in-ear/earphone/headphone, and for me the TripleFi 10s had just a little bit missing from the highs, but otherwise they were nice.

        • -2

          My turn eh?
Well for starters, I'll actually tell you what ones I use now, insead of dodging the question.
Due to financial reasons, I use UE 220's. Har har, have a laugh, but I got them for $20, and couldn't be happier.
I've owned various Sennheiser Models, as well as the lower range of UEs.

So, what earphones do you use now? As in, on your way to work/school/whatever, what do you use in your iPhone/iPod/Zune (lol).

        • Also, listening to 'audio equiptment' even for 10 minutes at HK airport means nothing, regardless of engine noise. The earbuds won't be the right size for you, and 10 mintues (probably shorter) won't be long enough. It seems like you just listened to them at the airport to brag.

        • @Heatseeker424
I got the Logitech UE220s for $25 from LTS (previous sale) and I was "wtf are these?" when I shoved them in my ears. Since then I've sold them to a friend… who hasn't used better audio equipment so it's alright for him.
At the moment I use headphones (Sennheiser HD228s) with a Sony Xperia 10i.
A pair of Sennheiser CX300iis coming in from a week.

Also, listening to 'audio equiptment' even for 10 minutes at HK airport means nothing, regardless of engine noise. The earbuds won't be the right size for you, and 10 mintues (probably shorter) won't be long enough. It seems like you just listened to them at the airport to brag.

Err… I listened to them because I haven't been able to test them out anywhere else [I don't see Westones or Logitech UEs at JBHifi or Big W for testing]. If you had the chance to, I reckon you would also want to test them out.. just to see if the price difference is worth it.
It seems like you haven't heard anything else other than the Logitech UE220s, just like my friend who I sold my pair of UE220s to.

        • @cwongtech I registered just to prove you wrong
First of all Logitech didn't make the triple.fi, if you knew anything about your facts you'd know that Jerry Harvey was the person who invented them, he was also the previous owner of Ultimate Ears and now own JH Audio

Second of all I have never heard anyone from the 100s of pages I've read regarding the triple.fi saying it lacks in the highs, if anything it's a little to sparkly for some peoples liking.

Third, it's essential to get a good fit on the triple.fi some people do the flip mod and that's what I had to do to get a good seal

FOURTH YOU KNOW NOTHING WHAT YOU'RE TALKING ABOUT, I've listened to the Sony EX-1000, UM3x, SE530, Westone 3 and own the TF10s, SF5Pro's, ATH M50, MD Tributes.

Out of all these I've heard none of them match the TF10's in the highs, so unless me and the many other people over at head-fi have much better hearing in the higher frequencies, you seem to just throw

Also everything you own isn't anywhere near of quality, I've listened to all that you have - the 205s and 500s, first of all they ALLLLL LACK CLARITY, SECOND OF ALL they ALL have boomy bass, so I'm assuming you enjoy this sound signature of drowned out mids and muffled highs, but please don't go bagging the triple.fi if you know nothing about audio.

        • First of all Logitech didn't make the triple.fi

          They do now
I never said HD205s didn't suck balls, not only do they suck balls in terms of boomy bass and clarity, they're literally like a vice/clamp on your head, VERY uncomfortable.
Never said the CX500s had extreme clarity in the highs either, don't know where you're going on about. I just listed what I've listened to, they have great bass. However, regarding mid and highs.. it's not muffled [unlike most of the UEs] but the bass drowns them out.
HD218s suck balls - just have a listen @ JBHifi.
HD228s for some reason don't suck balls.
HD238s.. I don't know if mine were fake or not so I can't comment.
The TripleFi 10s have a little touch of highs missing at least to my liking, I didn't say they lacked clarity to such a big extent -_-
Please stop assuming and yay we got one more lurker who signed up to Ozbargain!
P.s. Lol at Jerry Harvey. Uncanningly similar to Gerry Harvey :)
So, since this Jerry Harvey dude owned UEs and is now the owner of JH Audio, you going to try to defend the whole UE line? (UE220s? Good luck :D)

        • cwongtech: No offence, but the only IEMs you've owned are budget ones. Nothing wrong with that because I also own the $20 UE220s and my $32 Creative EP-630s are almost identical to the CX300s.

I would say you need to own a good pair and listen to the right music in good quality to make a 'sound' judgement. There is no way you could come up with a verdict on any headphone having just listened to it for a few seconds.

    • I do like your profile pic, even if I've seen it before :)

OP, you should update the title to UE400vi. A lot of people are more interested when it is a set of earphones with a microphone

  • Is the UE400vi compatible with the HTC legend (the audio, mic and the volume control)?

    • probably, they work with my nexus one (made by HTC)

      • so all the controls work? i asked logitech before and they were not sure.

  • Why are logitech keyboard costs much more than Microsoft. I have the sidewinder x4 at more than half the logitech counterpart and extremely happy with the quality. I have had many logitech keyboards in the past with sticky and resistive keystrokes which is rather annoying at time.

    • I'm not sure, but I only got a logitech keyboard because of their display, no other competitors seem to have them.
I'd prefer a mechanical keyboard too but I don't want to lose the perks of having an LCD display.

  • +1

    how about 2 x UE 220's for $40?

    • -1

Nah you don't want them, SQ is pretty bad (please do not say blah blah justice), the highs are muffled, tuned-up bass but there is no clarity there, just look on previous deals for UE220s, and you'll notice people who have listened to other earphones/inears all say the SQ for UE220s aren't that great (even for its price). They sound pretty much like the $30 TDK ones from officeworks… but logitech ones do look better :) [SQ is still crap though]

      • I got a pair from them a while ago, i agree SQ isnt all that, but for the price that are good because i wont be fussed if i break them or whatever. Just need them for public transport.

      • If they sound like $30 TDK ones and you're getting these ones that look better for $20 each, isn't that a bargain?

        • But they aren't $20 each… yet…

      • +1

lol nothing at all wrong with them considering they are $20ea. The bass works well with alot of Dance sorta music anyway.

  • PS3 adaptor for the remotes?
