Did you use the latest version of MS Publisher to build that page?

I grabbed Auslogics Defrag Pro, to defrag my SSDs.

    • I hope you're trolling lol

I know my post would get a reaction, but you won't kill a SSD by defragging it. SSDs can withstand many terabytes of writes, so the extra writes from defragging will not have any significant effect on their life. Also, Auslogics has a special SSD defrag which works differently to defragging a hard drive. Fragmentation does not slow down SSDs in the same way it slows down hard drives, but it can have a minor impact on performance all the same.

        Even Windows defrags SSDs.

          Windows defrags SSDs

          Correct.

And that's why it doesn't need a third party program.

        • It's not about the killing SSD things, its about the way that SSD's store data when compared to a platter based hard drive. Auslogic might be calling it a defrag, but it would be doing something completely different than what an actual defrag does.

          • -3

@holisticboy: It may not be a normal defrag and Auslgoics calls it SSD optimization, but you can do a regular defrag on a SSD. There's not much point in doing so, but it safe, as SSDs use the same file systems as hard drives.

It seems only the Windows desktop version is free for 1 year? Plus it doesn't include any support, which you have to subscribe / pay for… Links to Android version just takes you to their free app which is also subscription based, so not sure how much of a "deal" this is?

  • In my experience, every VPN that had a free offering, even if only temporary, is not fast enough for you to want to use it, and makes for a poor advertisement for attracting paying customers.

Someone else can test it for us this time.

What the HELL is that website? It's a proper disaster!

  • Few notes:

Aweclone doesn't see my SSD. Might not work with nvme drives?

The screencam seems a bit dodgy in wanting to shut down an Intel app and turning off fast startup?
