Was going to buy the DC version but this sale price brings the AC/DC version irresistibly close. This brand and the yet to be released Rebel EMP 205ic by ESAB appear to be the only HF TIG multi process welders from recognised quality manufacturers. This price matches the discount price in the US allowing for exchange rate so that clinched it for me.

  Nice unit. I'm wondering about the recommendation of MIG rather than TIG for Aluminium tho? I like my tips with balls..

    Haa pulse TIG, not pulse MIG. Welding aluminium with MIG requires a lot of skill and practice from what I have seen and even then the results are a little messy. TIG welding with aluminium looks like best practice.

      MIG with alloy is easy and neat if you know how
      You're not going to weld up a big job with a tig, way to slow.
