This is a lot better insulated than regular coolers. From the load of positive reviews I found I conclude: it doesn't quite reach, but comes pretty close to the performance of ice boxes like Dometic, Evakool. Pretty good at about half the price of those when they are at their best discounts.

Quite big, make sure it fits your vehicle (doesn't fit the space I have left for a cooler in mine, missing out on this deal). I would tend to trust the dimensions given by the manufacturer here over the inconsistent information by Amazon.

  I bought this about 4 years ago and love it.

  • When used outside (in the shade), I've managed to get ice to last 5 days in it and have no issues reaching 3 days with frequent opening/closing for beers.
  • It is well built, with nothing feeling flimsy or loose
  • Seems to resist mould and stains.

  Be aware that this doesn't self-close. If you let the lid just drop, it doesn't seal fully. You do need to give it a bit of a push to properly seal it. Understandable, but a pain when you have kids using it.

  Mine is the 'Xtreme' one pictured in the last image (photo of the guy walking to over grass to blue shade) with the 4 can holders located close together.
