I've owned this unit for about 5 months ….. Surprisingly feature rich for a budget priced 4k HDR10 receiver . All the settings can be controlled via OSD which still isn't standard across all brands.

It also allows hdmi pass-through in standby mode. This is something Sony doesn't do, which requires you to be in a semi powered mode that consumes 20+ watts.

Very good price for what is a solid unit for a simple 5.1 living room setup. I replaced an older amp with one of these recently, setup was very simple, 4k passthrough @ 60hz no worries, ps4, nvidia shield etc all work nicely through it.

  • It's from Harvey Norman…just sayin'

    • not sure what your getting at,
if they are selling at or below cost i don't see what your issue is.

This will replace my 8 y/o Pioneer

  • Does this support eARC? It says via future firmware but not sure if actually rolled out.

I need a new 4K A/V receiver to go with the new Sony OLED, been using old Yamaha RX-V465 and been very happy for the last 10 years.

  • Ordered one of these on Xmas day at this price when I saw the RX-V385 bundle, and picked it up Boxing Day.

Apologies for not posting as a separate deal :(.

  • Any advantages to the Denon AVRX250? ( $20 more )
