why do they need to be activated by the due date? I dont need the data until mid March 19.
From what I can see PrePaid Max commences on 5/2/19 and the cheapest plan is $30 (for the first recharges), and you can store up to 200Gb.
So if you activate on 5/2/19 with 40Gb, recharge $30 (8gb + 22Gb bonus = $30 Gb), and recharge on 5/3/19 ($30) you would then have stored 100Gb for a total cost of $75.
Prepaid Max is current and so are the data bonus. I activated mine last week ($30) and have 8gb plus 22gb in the data bank.
Also available at Woolworths for the same price, picked one up tonight there, but only until the 1st.
Wow! Didn't know they'd offer this much data on pre-paid. I would never have moved to post-paid :)
Coles is also selling the $50 starter kits for $20 until 1/1/19 - for an extra $5, you're getting another 10GB of data…

At my local Coles, they were on a rack near the service desk and next to another rack with various gift cards - had to look for a bit to find a $50 starter kit.
Was in a previous catalog, but the special doesn't finish until 1/1/19.

Yes, unless you were to port out and back again, but then you would lose your banked data…
