  • Great deal.

    Any chance of a 55" C8 deal?

Oh you only have 1 left and its demo stock…..

    https://www.todds.com.au/collections/lg-oled/products/lg-ole…

Which is still more than Myer is selling it for.

Try contacting Todd's. I'm not a store rep just your friendly neighbourhood ozbargainer :)

        My OzBargain senses are tingling.

    • B8 for $1699 at good guys victoria.
      C8 not much stock everywhere.

  • Now that's a good deal

  • Wow a C8 for $3k. Great bargain!

  • Thanks OP.

We're sorry this product is currently out of stock. However, we may be able to order it for you quite quickly. Chat to our team to find out.

I wonder if this means they could still get. Just at a slightly later date if they get enough enquiries. I guess chatting to them would be the next step. For the record already bought a tv. So will leave that for someone else to ask.

Don't understand why free pickup would be state did delivery is also free?

    • +3

      I don't understand your question.

      • I think what they meant is. If the price is including delivery. Why it's not cheaper to pick it up.

        • Because that is being an excellent retailer and wearing the shipping cost.

          • @serpserpserp: Sorry there was an autocorrect typo.. should have said "would be stated if delivery is also free"*

Just seemed like an unusual thing to say

            • +1

@isthisreallife22: Because they may not have them in store and ship direct from their warehouse or a third party warehouse, shipping from the warehouse to store in this example has a cost associated with it as does having to have people on hand to help load it. Just because you think something should be free doesn't mean there isn't a cost associated with it. Retail space is a lot more expensive then warehouse space.

  • So no stock now. Does that mean the deal is dead?

    • The 65" is sold out but the 55" is still available.

    • Try calling Todd's to check stock. Currently unable to order from website but they may have more stock.

This is crazy. The prices on the C8 and B8 keep fluctuating. I thought I got a great price on the B8 through the eBay Videopro deal a couple of days ago and now the C8 is around a $100 more… that’s frustrating.

Just enjoy the tv you now have/Will have. No point dwelling in what you could have gotten other tvs for.

Online chat says that the c8 is discontinued and that they are out of stock.
I have no probs with OOS, but discontinued? Probably a price error?

    • +6

Hi StevieRay, that's correct, LG Have discontinued the 55/65 C8's (some limited stock of the 77 apparently) and now the B8's replace the C8's. Our understanding was the B8's were an event model, this has since changed in the past month and they have now finished the C8 range.

Sorry to everyone that wanted one, we only had a few left and they quickly sold out this morning (most likely straight after this post went up).

IMHO the B8's do look just as good, we can't do any better price on them at the moment, but if we do get a price drop on the B8's ill let you all know.

      Cheers - Bradd (Store manager).

      • @Bradd87 if nothing else this has given me a killer opportunity for claiming price protection on an earlier purchase of this I'd made, so thanks!

        • bradd was that from good guys? let me know if it works as i bought mine from GGs on boxing day for 3196

      • damn i called boxing day and sales guy refused to go under 4.5k lolz

      • $4k for the 77'?

        Don't say no.

  • Hi Bradd,

So you will honor the ones got sold this morning (No cancellation)?

    • Hi Tim, of course it was first in best dressed, I've already assigned the stock to people who got in quick and had their order processed.

      Cheers

      • Thanks, so will wait for the delivery..

  • Would TGG or HN or the likes possibly price match this?

    • In Brisbane they should no questions asked (although the item would need to be in stock)

    FUUCK A DUUCK

  • Hmmm, not listed here as c8 being discontinued.
    https://www.lg.com/au/discontinued-tvs
Also, C8 has the new processor, B8 has a refreshed but same processor as the B7, which means the B8 would make more sense to be discontinued. I sense a pricing error.

    • C8 being discontinued has been mentioned in a few of these LG bargains/threads. I agree don't understand why it would be over the b8, but reps or other peeps must be hearing something as its keeps coming up.

It was only some rumours because someone people can’t get the cheap c8 promo deals that’s why saying discountinue etc. c8 is still the latest 2018 models! JB DJ MYER GG HN all have stocks (nsw sydney) when I visit them to check two days ago. Just only they holding off discount and slow shipment from warehouses.

    • It's well known on these forums and whirlpool and confirmed by several retailers that the C8 has been discontinued for weeks now. The B8 is replacing it until the new 2019 models arrive. No need to be paranoid.

      • +1

But b8’s price should be way lower than c8, given the specs it’s really sub par.

  • Anyone took a screenshot of the page so I can claim price protection?

    • Check your credit card?

      • Would also love a screenshot of the deal when there was stock available. Would help with a price protection claim.

  • OOH NOO !!! I was waiting for a good price on the 65C8 and now I have missed out. I guess it may be worth waiting for the 2019 models to come out and thats why the C8 is being run out.
Maybe LG will keep the B8 as the budget TV line (becomes the B9 and uses up all the 8 model panels stockpiled) as the lineup of TV's (B8 C8 E8) are too close together in spec (they all use the same panel). Maybe this means that C9 E9 etc use a new panel.

Given that CES in in 9 days where the 9 range will be announced by LG, might be worth hanging out and seeing what the differences are. From what I understand a revision 2 of the current CPU is in the works but consider it to be only a slight improvement. The big thing will be if the HDMI 2.1 HDR content will be available, and if they have fixed other known long standing bugs with the LG (keep in mind, despite the fear mongers in these forums, even with the bugs the LG is still the best all-round OLED available - Unless you will not use it for gaming at all, then get the Panasonic or Sony depending on your preference for content).

  • Can someone please let me know if they got a screenshot of the advertised price on the website.

    Thank you!

Edit: Just saw an amazing person above posted it already. Thanks!

  • they wont let me. i bought mine from northlakes rather than my closer 1 which is technically 29km from todds.I got a better price there initially and so they pulled the greater than 30 km as i was told him to go to there store ect couldnt drop into my closer store

  • Any lucker get price match in Sydney? JB HN TGG DJ MYER ..

  • Scrap that they have come to the party and refunded me the difference so I've laid $2999 to now. Got to give thumbs up to the store manager

  • Anyone got order update?
