Wearing one as I type this in New York. Just wearing a tshirt, jumper and this on top and it's been fine.
Got some heavy rain on it yesterday and after about 5 minutes it seeps through the seams and you feel the wetness. When you get a few drips of water on it or snow it'll be fine, anything more serious you need an umbrella, poncho or rain jacket over it.
No sizes in Melbourne under large :(
Good jackets work well.
I'm usually a large, and large fits quite big. I would say order a size smaller if you like a more fitted jacket
I got my normal size so I can fit other layers underneath too. Hope this helps

I don't know how anyone can know their size these days… I vary from Medium to 3XL.
I'd say 60% I'm L, the Halo jackets chest L is max 108cm, I'm 111cm not breathing in.
Sportscraft shirt I was given was XL, but too small even the 3XL is tight around my shoulders, but way loose everywhere else.
What is your height/weight?

Visited Macpac Macquarie Centre yesterday to try price match, they didn't allow it though and directed me to rays Camperdown .. You can try your luck though. Ended up purchasing the hoodless one for the same price since my size is sold out.
Already had Macpac Uber light XL. Today ordered this one the same size. Picked in store and damn, this is so bloody bulky.
Have to return now. So be careful guys as it seems the size is not standard at all. Varies by item model.
Yep consensus says buy 1 size smaller than what you are. I'm 180cm and 85kg and small fits me perfect. Perhaps a medium size will allow me to add more layers underneath comfortably in freezing sub-zero environments.
I'm 175cm and 80, so looking at small also. Do you have any room for base layer + mid layer with small? They'll be thermals for me so thin.
