How do you redeem - first in best dressed & just show the app at the store OR is it like the Amex offers app where you have to save it to account? Sorry I have just downloaded and registered so have no clue how this works. TIA
Go into the shop and press on the link in the app. It gives you a unique barcode which is scanned during payment. The offer will then disappear.

But personally I doubt it would work since their point of sale terminal seems to be online and would know that the offer has expired.
Nah it won’t work — the POS is pretty real-time. Even, creating another account for the free KK on sign up doesn’t work because your account is (unfortunately and scarily) linked to your phone via a unique device ID.

Not linked to device ID, as you can just do a factory reset and install app again, get free item again (using secondary/temporary email). I've done this a few times.
I'm sure these items don't cost 7/11, coca cola would just be giving them 1 can free, for every one they hand out etc. They were giving away vanilla coke, powerade(coca cola owned) and mother drink (coca cola owned) and barista bro iced coffee (coca cola owned) , giving them out all at same time in the app a few weeks ago.
If you have a spare phone, you can screenshot and email to yourself to get a 2nd free coke. Probably have to visit store a 2nd time, or do on seperate transaction.Are you on Android?
I have a few old iphone 5/5c, and a few samsung androids.
I have tried on iphone lately, but also tried on android phones, but probably about 1 year ago, and andrpid factory reset worked fine, of course if you sign into factory reset phone, with already existing account where you used the voucher, then voucher will show as error. So as long as you do factory reset and make new account, all should be fine for 7/11 app :).
Uber on the other hand, do record phone ID even after factory reset, they still have some deeper info within phone given them device ID no matter what resets are done etc.

Yes, I have done this before and works fine. The app does get issues, whereby when you actual click offer, barcode doesn't show and error message comes up :/ . So definitely a good idea to screenshot, especially if you plan on redeeming multiple offers ie. The 1st offer you click might show barcode, 2nd offer you click might show error .
the voucher will probably be removed from the app once it's exhausted.

Why do they only send me my push notification now? Other savvy ozbargainers must check the app at 12:01am everyday! Barcode still showing on mine, must not have reached 7500 yet.
Also, would this work on coke varieties? By the looks of things I would assume not.

Must be great for the vendors selling fuel to have their customers using a mobile app. They can track exactly when each customer comes in for fuel and whether a token gift is likely to change their schedule and adjust prices accordingly.
