    • My First comment.

Went to officeworks, price matched and got a charge 3 for 170.05
      Very happy.

This year is going to be the year of smart watches I think.

  • Charge 2 was on sale for $99

What makes this worth almost twice the price ?

    • +1

Better screen (both resolution and size)
      Touchscreen
      Gorilla glass display (vs plastic)
      Better battery life
      Waterproof
Package contains both small and large wristbands
No physical slightly weirdo-looking button (as on Charge 2)
Thinner (Charge 2 is really thick : )
      Ability to reply to messages
      Accepting/declining calls

Charge 2 is still a decent device though.

    • just bought it as a gift a couple of days ago : )

    • Fitbit pay

  • I got 2 a month ago. They are supposed to be the flagship of fitbit.

I started using one - it keeps counting steps when you sleep or drive. Then I read the internets - it’s normal. The other one wouldn’t wake up and show the display when it’s supposed to upon a swing of an arm - apprently also happens. Generally underwhelming. I haven’t used any other trackers/smartwatches. TGG haven’t replied to my return request since 24/12. It’s the season, I know.

    • My refund from TGG hasn't been paid out in over a month now lol

    • My one sometime doesn’t sync sometime, but it does that randomly, and TGG tech guy told me I have to show them when it is doing that to get a refund or exchange (replacement).
      Disappointed with TGG services.

Ah, see you were sucked in to thinking Fitbit is actually a decent brand.
The reason they come out with new products so often is because they sell garbage that either malfunctions or breaks almost immediately and they offer discounts on new purchases in lieu of full refunds/replacements. They get away with it because their products have such a short store shelf life (due to being obsolete) that replacements are often unavailable, and customers stupidly think "upgrading" to a newer model that will fix all their problems.

        I was, indeed.

  • I bought my wife one for Xmas. It won't show SMS messages on it. Have done no end of resyncing and updating and restarting. Nothing has worked. It appears they aren't the best device and this one will be going back too…

    Price matches aren’t bargains
