    What's the catch?

    • +4

You have to buy them from Australia Post..

      • And only earn half a point per dollar on amex.

    • You can't get your money back if Catch of the Day goes into administration, they cancel all gift cards, like DSE. Just don't buy and sit on them.

Be aware you can only use a maximum of 5 gift cards per transaction

This is not actually true. They say that you can only use a maximum, but you're able to apply more than 5 when you're checking out.

      • Not in my experience though- I can use only 5 max

Also you cannot use any promotional discount code if you use the giftcard

That's just stupid. Gift cards are treated the same as cash so why should it be exempt.

    • You'd better prove it!
last time I did use both, it's similar to eBay code and eGC

    • Can anyone else confirm this? It’s a deal breaker for me if so!

Thanks OP for the share and appreciate the goodwill.

That said can we not support a terrible company? Catch have a horrendous data privacy policy, retaining user data and making it near impossible for you as a consumer to delete your data.

Beyond hoarding your data and not deleting it, they've had significant data breaches which they get away with - https://www.abc.net.au/news/2015-06-02/catch-of-the-day-esca…

  • Wow, basically makes the 365 day small plan $90.

    • agreed. got my 5x 365 day plan vouchers today. bargain gods are smiling… can you pay by gift card if you use a voucher code at catch?

      • According to their gift card T&C you should be able to stack.

    • I can only see $199 for 365, why?

    • +3

The half price catch connect vouchers are free which then reduces the prices on catch connect by 50%. You can't use gift cards on the catch connect website.

      • Actually I might be wrong last time. It seems like the voucher is being sold on catch.com.au; which means you can use gift cards to buy the 'reduced 365 day voucher' like other items. However I haven't tested whether you can use everything together.

Though According to their gift card T&C you should be able to stack.

        • The vouchers are 0 if you are a member. However after you use to buy the plan on catchconnect and there it looks like there is no option to use gift cards, only credit cards

  • So Im returning an item and might get something different of higher value. Do you think I could use giftcards to make up the difference?

  • You cannot use to buy the mobile plans. I just tried to buy and there is no option for vouchers. Such a shame as a $170 plan with 17gb would have cost only $153.

Hi, I didn’t buy but added it to my cart on the mobile app. I see you can add a coupon AND you can add a gift card.

EDIT: just read above. Properly can’t use the 50% coupon on the app

      • That’s right. Works perfect on catchconnect website though. I suppose half price is pretty good , considering Kogan is not offering bogof deals.

  • Anyone know if the 12month expiry can be extended to 36 months in line with most gift cards nowdays in australia?

  • If I purchase this on the Australian post website will they mail me the gift cards or are they digital?

    • +1

They are physical cards send by mail, I'm still waiting on mine to be sent out.

  • wrong thread

  • just enquiring, stackable with cashback ?
