Left in Coffs harbourJust got Bayonetta 2 and octopath Traveller priced matched at big w erina fair. I just showed them Target website on my phone and they price matched. Didn't even check stock. Even though the target store nearby didn't have any! (Target did have Hyrule warriors though) 60 bux for both! Didn't even really want them that much but at that price I could just sell em for more money when I'm done!

Definitely recommend you guys try price matching at JB or EB; I was able to price match at my local EB for octopath even though the target website said it was out of stock in all brisbane stores near me. Remember to smile/be nice to increase chances of price matching. YMMV

FYI No OT or Street Fighter at Chatswood Target. Called today to confirm.
Target Eastland (Vic) had copies of Scribblenauts Switch for $20, and checked a few other games as well. Battlezone PS4 $10, Lego Ninjago Movie (Switch) $29 and Stardew Valley (XB1) $10. Not much other clearance items in stock.
Knox Target had about 10 copies of Stardew Valley (ps4) $10, 1 Scribblenauts Showdown (Switch) $20, 1 Warioware Gold (3DS) $30, 1 Battlezone (PS4) $10. I also picked up Halo Wars 2 and Farpoint VR for $10 each, but I don't think there is any more stock on the floor, but they may have some behind the counter.
No stock of octo or bayonetta in stirling, inaloo, morley or whitfords.
Saw scribblenauts at most. And sf at some.
A quick update I was able to get a copy of Bayonetta 2 without Code( someone must have stole it :(, but I still purchased it at such a good price, Hyrule Warriors and Street Fighter but no luck with Octopath. Tried price matching with Bigw staff refused to price match with target by saying they only match Ebgames. Tried Ebgames in same shopping centre they happily price matched at Mirrabooka WA. I know it's a Bit of efforts but someone should surely price match. Previously was also refused at my closest Jbhifi only tried one.
Captain Toad scanned at $59 at the store I checked.

Tried Pitt st and westfield Sydney they both say no after checking the website from their computer…maybe just my luck, they only check the price on the website.
No luck for world square, they refuse to price patch and said that target one is clearance item

One Street fighter left in Geelong
Failed to have Big W in Gungahlin ACT to price match Target. The three staff ladies pored over the Target website as a coven would when deciding which curse to cast. They informed me that since the Switch games were clearance items and out of stock that price matching was impossible.
Got the last octopath at JB Highpoint and the last bayonetta at Big W Highpoint.
It seems Target definitely might get out of entertainment, margains in games are especially low these days.Was told yesterday Jb Sunshine had 5 copies of Bayonetta and would pricematch Target. I got one on hold but would go naturally go back to shelves after Wednesday.

I called in the arvo and was put through to the gaming section where the guy verbally confirmed he would do it along as there was proof on my phone. He supposedly searched it and asked why sequence of words did i use when finding the listing.

@ch3n000: To be honest i went yesterday and bayonetta wasnt on display, it was only luck it was there as i actually going for octopath that i saw the previous day.
Fingers crossed that some online retailers for you match the 30 dollars (regardless of its online listing) and dont know about target getting out of the game.
In Perth, and having zero luck with finding a copy of Bayonetta 2 or price matching successfully. Not sure if against the rules, but if anyone can manage to get a copy for $30 I'd be keen to grab it off you.

Thanks mate. I just tried big w and jb hi fi Frankston. They both would not price match as the website ad was down and hey said target had no stock so they wouldn't honor it. Really upset I wasted my time. :-(

Called prior to going in, and they said I needed a copy of the price, I said a photo of the receipt (from OP above) and they said yep.It's definitely hit and miss with who you get, and when something like Octopath is 1/3 the price of EB's RRP ($89.95) you know they'll do their best NOT to sell it!

No luck at any of these stores.
Managed to grab a copy of Octopath from Target on the first day. Was lucky because the case was hidden behind some Xbox One games…
