Still waiting on Octopath Traveler and Bayonetta 2.

  • -2

Just got it at targrt would've preferred amazon but oh well.

    • +21

Better to support the local retailer who is pushing the price down for the rest of us to enjoy.

      • +2

No argument from me, I tend to get things from the original retailer with the lowest price. But Target had a questionable amount of stock, and mostly in-store only. Sucks for those of us that work normal hours and can't shoot off to visit a store, let alone many stores.

        • Yeah, I was at work when the Bayonetta and OT deals were posted. Hope Amazon will copy their deals.

  • Been running around trying to get this all day. Man I love Amazon

    • +2

      You should marry them.

      • +4

They’re one of those types that seem nice and charming to everyone, but then are abusive to those closest to them (just ask the warehouse staff).

So marriage may be a risky proposition.

  • +1

Thanks OP! Just got this. I have a huge soft spot for these types of games, but can never finish them! Fingers crossed for Octopath and Bayonetta :)

  • Hah well done Amazon

    • Is it worth $10? Havent read into it, but the metacritic scores are pretty low… (60 PC & 64 XB1)

      • I think it is. Similar to Yooka-Laylee and kid friendly, what's not to like for $10?

      • It's an average collect-a-thon platformer. Nothing amazing but nothing bad. I had fun. It's pretty short, took me about 10 hours to 100%.

  • +1

Nice, got it and Tales!! Let's go for Octo and Bay!! COME ON!!

  • I will hand in my ozbargain membership for this question. I've always wanted to ask, do Amazon Australia use AusPost and only AusPost for shipping?

    • +2

They occasionally use Fastway as Courier for larger items.

      • Thank you good sir. I just wanted to check, as it seems you can't confirm through checkout? I use an auspost parcel locker, that is why.

        • +1

There is no way to choose your courier, it is automatically assigned. Fastway is usually deployed if you have prime and it reaches the next day after dispatched. Auspost is occasionally used for Expedited delivery but most usually for Free Delivery—at least for my case in SA. Note that if your address is local Post office/Parcel Collect, Fastway is unable to deliver, if assigned to your order, and you would need to contact CS rep in this case.

          • @JadaJ: This is a global issue with Amazon. When I lived in the US, parcels went missing, guaranteed, every time when shipped with a particular carrier.

But Amazon kept randomly assigning the carrier, insisting there was no way to override carrier choices, and promising to “look into” the delivery issues. This went on for the whole two years I was there.

          • @JadaJ: Noted. I shall avoid to save on headaches. Cheers mate.

    • Yes, they use auspost, but depends what you buy and where are the goods in stock. If you shop amazon US from amazon AU, most likely they use UPS.

  • Thanks OP!

  • I wanted to get it for Link, buy I'm not a fan of dynasty type games.

  • Thanks OP, my Target order got cancelled so I just picked this up. Crossing my fingers (but not optimistic) for Octopath Traveler now.

  • +1

I'm beginning to seriously believe there are Amazon scouts in these here parts.

    • +1

Smart move right? Mo money? Why not?

  • Damn all gone :(

  • Back in stock

    • You can't add to cart.

  • damn missed it

  • Missed too, was checking the Amazon page up to an hour ago and gave up as I thought they wouldn't match the Target deal. :(

    • Argh. Same. I was on Amazon earlier looking to see if they would match. I close the tab, they match, I look again, it’s out of stock :(

  • There was 1 copy of Hyrule Warriors at Target Pakenham as of 3:20pm
but NO COPIES of Bayonetta 1 or 2, Octopath Traveller, Street Fighter or Scribblenauts.

  • +2

For those lucky enough, once you're done playing, you can trade the game in at CEX for $35 cash.

    • Or just instant profit :)

    • How have I never heard of this?? Bloody brilliant

  • Gosh that was quick!

  • Surprised they’ve done this but not the other two!

    • Yeah, been checking last few hours, doesn't look like they will price match it.

      But, they have surprised before.

      • +1

The CS rep told me they do not have any price matching policy, so I doubt the drop in price is manually handled. I suppose it was automatically detected since the Target Hyrule link is still showing up, but not the other two. So yeah, do not think Octo and Bayo are getting $30 on Amazon today, unless the links are up again.

        • Might have a point there, sucks.

  • Loaded up the website on my phone and ebgames price matched both without any trouble.

  • Bah! Missed Lucky's Tale

  • Good day Amazon spies who are likely reading this. Please price match Bayonetta 2 and Octopath Traveller, in return, I will join amazon prime. Deal?

    • +1

You mean you'll enjoy the free trial and cancel it 29 days in right?

  • +1

Not gonna lie, pretty annoyed they are only price matching certain items and not all of them

  • +3

Damn just missed this. Seems being only 6hours on ozb at work is not good enough!

  • Just got Bayonetta 2 and octopath Traveller priced matched at big w erina fair. I just showed them Target website on my phone and they price matched. Didn't even check stock. Even though the target store nearby didn't have any! (Target did have Hyrule warriors though) 60 bux for both! Didn't even really want them that much but at that price I could just sell em for more money when I'm done!

(I crossed posted this from the target deal, please don't neg)

    • +2

I didn't even know big w price matched, thanks for enlightening me.

      • No worries. Just make sure if you got Bayonetta 2 they include the dowoade code! It's a separate card. I didn't get mine. I called the store and they have separate to the game. So I'll go on later to get it.

  • -3

Pretty normal price for a 3DS game, no?

    • +5

      It a Switch Game.

      • -1

        It's a port of a 3DS game.

        • It originally came out on Wii U. It's a port of the Wii U version with the extra content from the 3DS.

  • +1

Scratches neck, Y'all got anymore of them Hyrule Warriors games at $30?

  • Back in stock, price gone back up :/

  • Thanks OP just picked one up, it’s now back in stock at $30 ;)

    • +3

      Thanks, updated the post.

      • it's gone again :(

edit: nvm u just had to click on more sellers!

  • Seems to have finished again

  • +1

Dang, missed both Target & Amazon deals. Hope it returns like the 3DS's did.
