Maccas nuggets have no flavour though! People try to justify it by saying "use sauce" but that just means they're crap if you need to use something to make it taste better.

100% agree with this statement, not sure how HJ's gets nuggets (and chicken burgers for that matter) so wrong.
On a separate note, I also prefer the thickshakes at Hungry Jack's, Maccas ones are way too sweet and not nearly as thick.

Funny you should say that. The coffee machine was down at HJs (I was desperate) so I got a large thickshake instead (for $1, nice!) and goodness - it was so sweet it sparked me up more than the coffee would've.
But yes, miles ahead of those at Macca's.

When was the last time you had them? They changed the recipe about 6-12 months ago, I believe. Batter is way better now.i wonder if different locations make them differently because the maccas nuggets around here (pretty much everywhere from dandenong to frankston) are disgusting they are hard dry and have no taste

The nuggets are better at KFC, hard as that is to believe.
Nuggets aren't that good anywhere imo, but KFC at least have some taste.
I find that very hard to believe. KFC nuggets are always underdone on the outside, so the batter/crumb is always wet/soft/no crunch.
KFC Hot and Spicy nuggets are a different story flavour-wise, of course (but still the same wet texture).

Gotta say Hungry jacks nuggets are 100% chicken breast and are usually good value even when not on these discounts. Spicy sauce is great also. But if you only like McRippofs Nuggets i guess you have to thank HJ for these deals. I know they are making a dent in maccas sales and maccas often have to drop their crazy $1 nugget prices often to claw back the market share (for a limited time… ).
The worst nuggets i have ever had were from a really bad mcdonalds in my area.Maccas has 24 nuggets for $9.95 as a permanent menu item…

- Choc Lava Cake & Small Coffee or Soft Drink for $4.25
- 2 Whopper Cheese for $8.25
Lucky me, I have all 3 offers, Lava cake, Nuggets and Whoppers :)
Although the price has gone up if you're a little more hungry the "10 nuggets and 2 large chips" off the voucher for $5.95 is even better and almost always available.
For the extra $2 you get 2 extra nuggets and 2 large chips over 2 medium.
I admit its not the greatest value, but if your rushing in to get this deal as a one-off this is always on their voucher, it just use to be even better when it was $4.95

Speaking of the HJ app, I had a birthday voucher that appeared a few days before my birthday and then vanished on my actual birthday.
What hungry beast needs an extra chips with their nugget meal?
I also regularly get the large chips and 10 nuggets deal 5.99 on the pdf monthly deals. The sauces are bigger than mc donalds and i gotta say the new chips at HJ are way better than mc donalds fries. The only issue is my local HJ is not open very late due to it being in the industrial area. Just wish HJ still did deals on angry whoppers. That is a burger and a half. Also wished they did deals on the grilled chicken burger - Its almost a healthy option.
Last time I ordered a grilled chicken they told me it wasn't on the menu any more, they made me pay for the grilled chicken with bacon and cheese and left off the bacon and cheese. Over 14 dollars just for a large meal.
Will have to check that out. Had only one grilled chicken burger since they removed it from coupons and it cost something ridiculous for my cheapskate sensibility. It was a tasty burger but very small.
