  • so which one will fit into the Macbook pro Retina 2013 13" inch ? the flash drive kinda looking on the SSD card size ??

    • I’ve looked into this as I have same model. Very hard to do, not recommended

    • Neither

It is a very common price, Amazon and Newegg will cheaper after Cash reward.

  • +5

Yeah nothing crazy. $209 @ MSY to have it straight away. $211.20 delivered from Newegg.
Can't currently find cheaper but also wouldn't jump at it when it's been below $200 recently

Yep, and yet already upvoted 30+…. For a $9 saving on a $200 item.

      • +3

        A saving is a saving!

      • It's also free postage msy isn't so if you can't get to msy it's cheaper than msy plus delivery ….Newegg takes to long if you can get local and free postage

  • Delivery by 01.04.2019

    I got a 1TB 860 Evo for less

  • How does this compare speed wise and reliability wise to a samsung evo 970? That one costs about $100 more, so a 33% premium in price

    • -2

Really?? where are you getting the 1tb evo 970 for $100 ???

      Please link, want

      • +2

        $100 more

        • +1

          Ah, I gotcha

The Evo 970 is an NVME drive Max write 2,500 MB/s , 600 TBW

          The Mx500 is a m.2 SATA drive Max Write 510MB/s , 360 TBW

So if your motherboard supports NVME, the 970 evo is much faster and has a higher TBW ( Total Bytes Writtern ( The about of data you can write to the drive before the warranty goes ))

          • @kogi: Endurance isn't something most people need to take into consideration. It's a waste of money to pay for it unless you thrash your SSDs everyday.

          • +2

@kogi: Use of an m.2 disables 2 sata ports on a lot of motherboards. If you have SATA to spare that's not an issue. But if you're running or planning to run multiple drives you must be aware of this.

          • @kogi: How can I find out if my laptop supports NVME or not? It is an ASUS ROG GL552VW laptop. I googled it but I could find anything other than lots of confusing datas. Any help would be appreciated.

            • @PanahKH: This is true. Highly recommend reaching out to ASUS customer support re this. Specifically your serial number. This will help them identify what mobo you're using.

There seems to be quite a bit of drama around NVME/M.2 drives on this particular laptop.

Got this last week at $199 delivered from Computer Alliance eBay without using a code.

    • Just bought that one and used PUSH5 to get it below $190

  • +5

eBay 20% Off codes have became a joke as sellers jack up prices.

    • +2

It's almost become standard practice at this point and ebay clearly do not care. I'm getting to the point where I just want to boycott non-site wide ebay deals even if it's a still turns out to be a minor saving. It feels like such scummy practice and it's a pain to compare prices between other retailers.
