Cheapest around at the moment for a speaker with good reviews. I'm still using some original UE Boom speakers which are still going strong but really tempted to upgrade.

EDIT: The Lagoon Blue has been reduced to $135.20 also if you wanted that one. Can probably get cheaper during one of the eBay 20% tech deals though.

      I have the Boom 3 and it's fantastic. Can't speak for the Flip 4 but you won't be disappointed with the Boom

      JBL Charge 4 has better sound.

      ( however, it is pricier and heavier than the BOOM 3 )

      I was looking at both of these and ultimately bought the UE boom 3. The boom 3 floats when it's in water, and I liked the convenience of the charging dock which for me outweighed the sound quality difference of the flip.

        Bleh.

        Listen to music as it was authored to be heard. That means turn off your EQ and get some 'natural' sounding speakers (not that any are truly natural).

        If that tone wasn't put into the recording in the studio, it wasn't meant to be heard.

    What’s the sound quality of the new Booms like compared to the OG Mega Boom?
    I have a Mega Boom but considering getting this for the smaller size if the sound is as good being a newer model.

      The Boom is just as great, in loudness and clarity, however it does not have a lot of bass compared to the Megaboom

      Logitech bought up Ultimate Ears a few years back. The company was a high end audio maker that bands and artists used for headphones and earbuds while recording and at concerts. Officeworks will match online sellers but delivery has to be included in the price. Don't think it matters if you have Prime for free delivery. But you never know with different stores…

    Hi, my Dad is a tennis coach who uses an old bose portable system over bluetooth with an extension cable for power (as the battery no longer holds a charge) during training.
    Would this boom be loud enough? What would be the best over distance - quality isnt the top priority….

      The Bose has better clarity but that's all, it's bass is worse and doesn't get as loud. UE Boombox I've got still has the best bass I've heard on any Bluetooth speaker and it's about 5 years old! Compared with even the new UE Megaboom 3 it's better. Treble was a bit of a mess with the highs sounding loud and tinny, Bass was lacking quite a bit on the Megaboom. Obviously it's got other features like waterproof and one touch playlists, etc. But even the Boombox can connect 3 different devices at a time. If you can still find the UE Boombox it's head and shoulders above the rest as a full stereo speaker including all the variations of the Bose Soundlinks.
