We should have an Ozbargain party - you can do this over a screensharing program such as Discord or Zoom.

    •

      Whats the Ozbargain discord link?

      •

I don't believe there's an offical (or unofficial) Discord server. I was just thinking of using my personal server (please say where you're from if you join) - Online Board Games - https://discord.gg/RaNkZFq

        •

We never got to do the jack in the box party.

Let's try again. I've created a doodle poll with nearby dates. I've trusted Doodle, a swiss tech company, with my google calendar and main email account. That way I can avoid double booking.

The poll is: https://doodle.com/poll/6gwuas73rs26v7ub Please use your discord or ozbargain username with an @ sign so for me it's @brisdaz.

Also you'll need to join my discord (link above has expired): https://discord.gg/MsRJyeR

You can play on your phone. Phone is fine.

We like to see prices - but Discord doesn't have prices. PJC will be very confused.

  •

Awesome! Epic Games pulling out all the stops to launch their platform. May the good times continue on!

  • +7 votes

These games are amazingly fun for groups on a big screen. Everyone who plays needs their own phone or ipad to play.

    •

Don't you just need a web browser? Doesn't need to be a phone or an iPad.

      •

Web browser works just the same. Gives a better advantage imo in some games such as drawful.

        •

I've only ever used it via a web browser on my phone. I didn't feel I had an advantage.

          • +2 votes

@jazoom: Sorry I meant a web browser on PC :P

  •

Man this is a fantastic deal! An absolutely essential game at my house

  •

Love this game. Besides Playlink, are there similar games out there (for the PS4) where you can use your phone to connect and play?

    •

I've played one on PS4 called "That's You!" which was kinda fun.

  •

    How to set reminder?

    • +1 vote

There is a little reminder button at the bottom of the description. ;)

    • +1 vote

on the right side of the ad under the offer description, there is a bell with the word reminder. Click that and set the date (I just use the preset remind me on the first day of the offer)

  • +1 vote

Is this free to get and keep after the sale is over or is it free to play only during those dates?

    • +1 vote

Will be free to keep like the other games. They are giving away a new free game every 2 weeks. Not sure till when off the top of my head.

  •

so we have to dl the programs for the game?

    •

Maybe. Subnautica was DRM free until it no longer was and the epic client was required to run it.

      •

I wish I didn't get such bad motion sickness. I jumped in the water and then just got all nauseous!

        • +1 vote

Turning off the motion blur can help with that.

Aren't reviews just great, Mr Sweeney?

  •

The only one that I already have. :( It's a great game though. Epic are really bringing out some quality freebies.

  •

Never heard of the series. Can someone please explain how this works? Is it something like one person needs a console hooked up to a TV and people use their phones as controllers?

    • +3 votes

The game runs on the computer (I use it on a laptop which I plug into the TV but you don;t need too) and the contestants use their own mobile devices as the controllers. It works really well as is quite fun to play together.

      •

If you have a TV that has Chromecast built-in or dongle, you can cast from Chrome directly to your TV to give you a little more flexibility for where your laptop is located around the room. :)

  •

Unable to download this, either on the site or app :(

    •

That's because it starts on the 24th.

      •

        Thanks.
Guess I shouldn't read/post till after my pot of coffee.

  •

Fibbage is a fantastic game. Just beware the Americanisms or use some in your lie to your advantage and to get people to pick your lie!!!
You will have to complain about the American spelling to get people to "realize" most correct answers are in "American" and not "English." Have fun…

  •

    Tis the day!

Doesn't seem available yet. It is the 24th in the US.

It's free now. Just claimed it.

  •

Which party pack is this. #1?

    •

      Yes.

  •

    Claimed

  •

hey this might be a dumb question, but how do I play it? i own it now… but dunno how to play it hahah. Thanks for any help

    • +1 vote

Figured it out. In the top right hand corner you click the button there and download some installer thing that allows you to launch game from your PC.

Next step is to figure out how to cast this to my chromecast and play it all haha

stay tuned for this epic journey

      •

Better to get a long HDMI cord.

But you can also launch the game by pinning the exe to your start menu, so you don't have to go through the Epic launcher every time.

  •

Got it. Then remembered I already had it on Steam from earlier ozb post.

    •

Same. There was a deal where you got party pack 1-4 or 1-5 for $10 or something like that.

  •

Longest countdown ever! Thank you Chibot

I connected to my Switch Account. How do I download from Nintendo eshop???

    • +1 vote

      You can't. Mac/PC only.

  • -2 votes

i clicked on it to own, but no idea how to download it.. nothing appears on steam?

    • +1 vote

Epic Games is trying to start their own PC/Mac ecosystem - you have to download the Epic Games Launcher to install it.

  •

How do i use mobile as controller? Is there any app available for ios?

    • +1 vote

No need, go to a website and enter a code

    • +1 vote

Go to jackbox.tv, enter code presented on screen of game (4x letters) and off you go.

  •

    This is great thanks mate

  •

    Thanks, owned.

Now just need to find some friends to play this with. :/
