I think I might take the plunge.. They seem. Decent going by this..

I love my headphones but can get sweaty in the heat..

    https://www.teamandroid.com/2018/11/28/tronsmart-encore-spun…

    • Not a bad review.

    • +2

That's huge. Doesn't look nice on ear

  • Tempting!…
Anyone have any experience with these earbuds?

    • just buy indiegogo ones. theyre cheaper and better designed

i currently use the Pamu scroll

but a new one popped up that looks like better designed apple earpods

  • +1

Looks good, the only concerning comment I read online was “Noticeable audio lag for videos” which could be a showstopper for those who want to use them for videos. Can anyone who has used these comment on this?

    https://gadgetpilipinas.net/2018/08/tronsmart-encore-spunky-…

    • In brief testing I did with videos I saw no lag with them, nor have I seen it with any other Bluetooth devices I've had over the years.

      • nor have I seen it with any other Bluetooth devices I've had over the years

You probably just don't notice it then, unless you've always had high-end BT TWS over the years.

        • +4

Good point. I actually do notice it frustratingly well on my home theatre, to about 25ms, but headphones have never been issue, admittedly with Bose QC35 and older Sony BT headphones using aptX.

I had read the concerns with the Tronsmart but in the first YouTube video I watched I saw no lip sync issues.

Also, the review referring to the noticeable audio lag is for an older revision of these headphones. It seems like there was a release that has Bluetooth 4.2 (as per that link). The version here have Bluetooth 5.0. Perhaps the chipset change improved on the lag.

      • +1

nor have I seen it with any other Bluetooth devices I've had over the years.

OK but every single device had lag, there is no lag free Bluetooth.

    • +1

      yep deal breaker for me

  • nice find

    thanks for the deal op.

    bought a pair of earphones

    • The ear buds?

I'm concerned with them dropping out not my ear while I'm working??
      Any experience with this?

      • +4

I have a pair from a previous deal and they are great, once you get past the initial pairing which can be a bit frustrating they are solid, no drop outs and mic and call quality is good.

The case is nice and the touch controls worked well, you just need to learn what they are. I found them to be larger than the QCY TWS that are a little cheaper which I also have. The QCY are small and discrete but the case is open at the top.

Sound quality wise I think the Tronsmart may be better, but my actual bang for buck choice would be the QCY.

        • what's the volume like? I got a pair of cheapo from aliexpress in this style but they are quiet.

          • +1

@Nalar: Tested at home in quiet surrounding they are plenty loud, can't comfortably use them at max volume.

  • This one looks very similar to the Pamu Padmate.

  • would be interested to get them, just a bit paranoid about them being Tronsmart, my last Tronsmart 5-port Q3.0 charger filled my kitchen with burning smell when I started using it.

  • +1

"To sweeten the deal further Australian Direct Line express shipping is free on the Ramsta and ~$0.38 US on the Tronsmart"

Select WHITE colour and you will get the "Australian Direct Line express shipping for free".

Save yourself USD $0.38 for something else.

    • +1

I didn't even think to check the white ones. Thanks updated!

I really should go to sleep, instead im buying earphones yay

It's never too late to OzBargain ;)

  • Thanks for the deal OP.
Pulled the trigger on the earbuds.

  • How are these compared to airpods? They seem to look better and for sure the price!

  • Took the plunge on headphones. Let’s see how we go

  • Suitable for gym use? :/ They look kinda big? Are they all that big?

    • That's what's put me off, they look huge and stick out the ear quite a bit judging from the video

    • I'd recommend these for gym and shower use, xev usually posts $30 shipped deals for them:

      https://www.ozbargain.com.au/product/taotronics-tt-bh025

They block out the stupid gym music, don't fall out, and are waterproof. I even left a pair in my pocket (they went through the wash) and they still work lol.

A mate of mine had the original kickstarter headset which looks like the one in the deal, and they fell out while walking.

    • The QCY T1C TWS are also great for gym. Smaller, water resistant and don't stick out of your ears. Light and excellent fit. I got a pair for $24 from Clear's last deal.

  • Thanks OP, picked a pair of the earbuds. They look a lot larger than the Jabra Elite 65T’s that I had, but here’s hoping they have a lot more bass which which was sorely missing with the Jabra’s.

  • +1

Please note only left bud works when you making phone calls.

  • +3

"Spunky buds" ? Not sure I would put them in my ears…

    • So where would you put them?

    • I cringe every time I hear it used over here. So innocent. :)

    • +2

      AKA “Buds A Nut”

    • Well it means sexy in Australia. Can't say the same for other countries 😉

  • +1

Got a pair too. Just because…

    • Just because you also have a pair….

      • Most people have a pair.

  • This style is generally not good for running…none of the reviews even talk about fit.

    • Hmmm luckily I saw this … was gonna buy one for running use only.

  • where do I enter the code? I don't see any thing that allow me to enter the discount code. Thanks

    • +1

Click Proceed to Checkout in the shopping cart. It will be towards the bottom of the page.

  • Would these fit inside a motorbike helmet or too big?

    • Depends on the helmet. How does it go with normal wired earphones?

I bought a pair of these just after Christmas. These are my first pair of wireless earbuds and I didn't have much expectations especially for the price. Have been using these at the gym most days of the week and have no issues with them falling out even when doing running/lunges/weights etc. They connect easily to my phone as soon as you take them out of the charging case. Usually watch an episode of The Office when I do my cardio part of the workout for 20 minutes and there's no noticeable lag in Netflix.

For $38.70 (the price I paid), I'd say they're pretty good and do the job well. Music quality is fine and is easy to use. Fairly easy to skip to next track. Haven't really tested Siri on these but I really only keep it in my gym bag and haven't done any call quality tests. Size-wise, I wouldn't say they're overly massive or have any issues with size.

Only thing I wish it had was volume controls and maybe a feature like the Sony XM3 where you can hold one side to hear the outside world. But for the price I paid, I'm happy to live without these features. Most wireless earbuds probably don't even have volume controls anyway.

I bought a pair of Jabra Elite Active 65T for my wife for Christmas and I found they fell out of my ears more easily than these Tronsmarts even after trying the 3 different size ear silicon pieces. Jabra's have some nice touches like location tracking, some talk through feature, but for $200 vs $38 Tronsmarts, I'd be happy to take the Tronsmarts any day of the week as it's only used during gym sessions.

OMG! These earbuds are exact replica of my Padmate earbuds which were launched on crowdfunding in March 2018.

    • The same time as these.

  • Doesnt seem to be working for the headphones - This coupon code has ultimately reached the limitation usage times

    • same for me

    • Gutted about this. Had the headphones in cart and the stupid password reset somehow locked me out for 30mins - just long enough to miss out. Thanks for the deal OP, but that wasn't fun.

      • There is still stock left. Hopefully they can extend the coupon quota

  • Agree for the for the headphones - This coupon code has ultimately reached the limitation usage times

  • Getting the same message for the earphones when trying to order :(

  • +3

I've asked GeekBuying for an extension on the earphones. It may not be until Monday however.

  • anyone have any experience with that SSD?

  • +2

Good news and bad news. The good news I managed to get an extension, the bad news is that I can only get it to $29.99 US now. If you're still willing to bite the coupon is TRONSMART42

Thanks for the support anyway! We never expected it to be this popular :)

    • Thanks, ordered 2 with the new code. Couldn't figure out how to get express delivery, but it said Australian free delivery was 5-8 business days.

      • That is the express option. The other was 20-30 or something

  • Hey guys i purchased these ear buds and really liking them. My only issue is that they dont seem to switch off i.e. i put them back in the case and they are always connected or try to connect to my phone.

    cheers.

  • These are absolute shite. Audio is favoured to the left, the audio level is low af and if you turn it up it starts distorting exponentially.

  • +1

Just got mine today. So impressed!! Sound quality is amazing. People hear me loud and clear. No worries at all…!

  • +2

Mine also arrived today. Went to walk the dog and had no issues with the fit or them falling off. Sound quality is 7/10. It does distort at high volume range. Size wise, it is noticeable in public. Overall, pretty happy with the price and value. And the case too!

    • Curious what other earphones you've used/are comparing them to?

      • +1

I don't use any Bluetooth ear/headphones. I have an Audio Technica ATH-ANC9, a couple of Xiaomi earphones, and once in a while I try my missus' BOSE Soundlink. Maybe I need to try some decent BT earphones, but they all seem at a different price point.

        • Oh it wasn't a question specifically about BT earphones
Audio quality is irrespective of connection type imo
Like good audio is good audio
Happy to have a comparison against other wired products, like the xiaomis or the AT's

  • I'm still waiting on mine to arrive. Says it arrived in Aus on Tuesday 22/01.
Not sure if it's using AusPost once it's in country or not. Honestly wouldn't surprise me.
Currently 2 business days (not incl. Aus Day public holiday).
