      Sorry to hear 😢

The Kettle Sea Salt one is my second-favourite Cadbury flavour of all time (top place going to Caramello).

      • +1

        Agreed! So Good :D

        • Just ordered (click and collect) 10 blocks.

          Already wondering if I should double-down ;-)

          • @[Deactivated]: BigW fail:

@[Deactivated]: Thanks, I did the same. Didn't think of doing click and collect til you mentioned it

            • +1

              @laviosa: Good luck mate.

              • @[Deactivated]: I ended up getting 4 and a refund of $6

                • @laviosa: HUZZAH! Better than nothing 😃

      • +1

Best were the dessert range around 2010. Tiramisu and cremé bruleé.

        • The tiramisu was an abject disappointment for me. Contained "coffee flavoured creme centre"… #NoBloodyCoffee ;-)

        • my favourite cadburies is the block of kit kat

          • @AustriaBargain: …except, not from the Cadbury clan at all. #Nestle

ones i have about month expiry

      They do not expire.

Best before dates (which these have) is not the same as expiry.

      • +2

finally. I was sure ozbargainers would agree with me that food doesn't expire until it can no longer be eaten.

so chocolate goes white and crumbly - who says it can't still be eaten?

  • I got one and it is short dated, about 10 days.

    • +2

Pro-tip: chocolate can be frozen for up to 12 months. #EasterChocolateAtChristmas

    • +1

It's a best before date, it will be good for a lot longer than 10 days.

  • +2

the CC ones were 50c at my local Coles

    • Same here (Kallangur QLD 4065)

  • Did that Cadbury v Vegemite thing ever work?

    • +4

I loved it… but it appears I was the only one :D

      • +10

Not the only one. It was amazing! So are Vegemite and cheese Shapes.

        • +4

So are Vegemite and cheese Shapes.

          Hope they're permanent…

          • +1

@jv: They never are. Gonna have to stock up.

            • +1

              @Clear: Will they freeze well?

          • @jv: You could just buy Cheese Shapes and dip them into a melted block of Cadbury's chocolate.

      • +1

Yeah - the Vegemite one was a one-bite-no-more-please experience for me ;-)

      • I was sceptical at first, but it became a ‘Love after first bite’ for me.

    • Yep, best flavour ever !!!

    • As much as iSnack 2.0 did.

  • It's been this price for the last month

  • 22 Jan '19 expiry. Hopefully price will drop further when closer to date.

    • +2

      They do not expire.

Best before dates (which these have) is not the same as expiry.

  • +5

Fail after fail yet they won't bring back caramilk

    • +3

      or marble

      • Still hoping it comes back some day. Marble was the only block I bought.

  • +2

I'm still waiting for the collaboration between Cadbury and Red Hill Brewery

  • +1

They can experiment with Coffee flavour. I'm waiting patiently…

    • +1

      They've done that recently.
It was like Snack with liquid inside. It had 4 types of coffee flavours.

      • I'm struggling to finish that. It's still in my fridge after a year. Think somehow the coffee is not quite up to the standard. Tasted a little more like caramel.

  • …..of course they are this price.

  • More at reduced price

  • +4

Thankfully they ran out at Coles after being forced to eat them by my impulsive brain for a month.

It's no different to having a single chip and eating chocolate afterwards with some shards still present. So while they didn't add anything to the experience, it's fine if you just want plain chocolate.

  • +2

CC’s are not bad, got 8 packs for $0.75 at coles.

  • Chermside store has 20/01/2019, not tong but it didn’s stop me from buying a couple :) thanks, OP!

  • +2

I actually liked the sea salt one. I rarely eat chocolate though so not much of a deal for me

  • Got a few packs at my local woolies for $0.60 due to the close best before date of 22/01

  • I'm guessing these are not popular at all hence why they're selling for so cheap? Many people here seem to not mind them though. I've only tried the CC ones but I thought they were terrible :(

    • +2

CC ones were definitely worse compared to the Kettle Sea Salt ones which are actually pretty good IMO.

    • No, they were the most popular chocolate Cadbury ever produced and they have ramped-up supply just to allow retailers to massively discount them as a gesture of goodwill.

      /sarcasm

      • I wonder how feasible it would be to melt these through a sieve to get rid of the chips and stick the chocolate back in the fridge lol

  • I saw it in Eastgardens for 70c each.

    • How recently? I placed a click and collect order for Eastgardens yesterday. This is from the email I just received:

"Unfortunately we are unable to supply the below items in your recent order.

      Description
Cadbury Dairy Milk with Kettle Sea Salt 190g
      Quantity
      10
      Subtotal
      $10.00

We apologise for the inconvenience caused. Your refund is expected to appear in your nominated payment option within 3-5 working days, depending on your financial institution."

  • Texture is good (crunchy), but there is a lingering taste of potato that does not go well with milk chocolate (or any chocolate for that matter) in my opinion.

  • Golden circle outlet in Capalaba QLD has 3x for $1.00. Eating one right now.

Whoops these are 64g each.. but you do get an extra 2g for your buck.

  • same price at woolies too.

    • Which Woolies store/s have stock?

      • +1

last Saturday at Belconnen. Not sure about stock level now.

  • +2

I took a chance on the Kettle Chip one (when they were $1 at Coles about a month ago) expecting to vomit profusely. To my surprise it was pretty good. Similar to Crunch IMO. Went back and bought 9 more. Now I'm fat.

  • Update: in terms of BIG W stores within 2,000 kilometre radius of Sydney CBD,the last one with stock is Rockdale Plaza.

They are on display in a somewhat random location, perpendicular to the main Cadbury blocks display. I had to ask a staff member to find them for me.

That said, you might want to be quick. I grabbed the last sealed carton (16pc) and there were 13 remaining on the shelf, including a few that looked like they'd had a tough life in store.😖

  • Bargain Depot Epping were selling 64 gm bar of Cadbury Kettle Sea Salt for 0.50 each or 7 for $2

  • Ugh, no thanks to the kettle chips one! It's horrific. Haven't tried the other one.

  • Big W Macarthur has them advertised as $1 each but they scan at 50cents. Happy (and fat) days ahead
