Saw in WA yesterday for $1.50. Grabbed them to try but not expecting much 😂

    • Picked up some yesterday at this price, I feel rorted now

Just got 5 blocks of the CC's from Coles in Kelmscott WA and the price came up as $0.75 even though there was a price tag of $1.50.

      Where's the post mate :p

      • +3

I was going to make one when i got home haha still out shoping.

        • Cheers zacsg1 and OP, Kelmscott's my local. Dropped in ~4:30pm and they were tagged as $1 and scanned as such. Still a good deal as I quite enjoyed the CCs one.

          • @CaptainTrentos: Dont know why it came up as $0.75 for me but lucky they dropped them in the hours between our visits.

Plenty at Coles Southern Cross at $1. Were $1.50 last week. Some welcome crunch to an otherwise staple diary milk.

    • Glass and a half full cream diary milk.

    • Must be a cheap diary, most are bound not stapled.

I tried the Kettle version. I wasn't all that impressed.

    • +1

CC's are much better, there softer to eat and work better together i think.

      • +3

I prefered the Kettle version over the CC's. The salt wins it.

  • Mate the cc is so good haha remaind me a Toblerone with nachos chips flavour at the end highly recommended.

These have been $1.50 for ages at my local Coles and they've still barely moved off the shelves, so I'm guessing they must be pretty bad

    • +3

clearance of a failed experiment. What were Cadbury thinking??

    • -3

I tried some from a friend when it came out. If this was free I wouldn't take it from Coles.

      • Unfair downvotes IMO. My colleague bought one a few weeks back. I tried it and didn't go back for seconds. She couldn't give it away and tossed half a block.

Worth a crack for the 1.50 it was to see if you like it, but tastes as average as the price suggests IMO.

There’s a reason why they are so cheap . Horrible combination.

Bring back the vegemite ones !!

    • +3

Sweet and savoury? Pretty sure that's a great combination.

    • Yuck!!!

There's been a few Cadbury combos that haven't worked, but that's probably the top. Haven't tried these though.

      • I like that they are experimenting but I personally feel these ones are a miss.

      i don't mean to do a jv, but…..

Bought 3 of each in Wodonga today. They are both surprisingly good!

  • +6

Just a warning for those thinking "it's just chips, it couldn't be that bad…", this is the worst chocolate I've ever tasted, even worse than that no-sugar chocolate.

    • +1

The banana cadbury creation smelled even more like fart than the Coles exclusive peanut butter tim tams.

    • It's also not just chips, they are stale chips very light on in salt.

    • +2

Luckily your opinion of what tastes good is different to everyone else's.

  • +3

I tried the CC one for a laugh, thinking I was going to hate it. Was actually quite nice.

    • same

If the best before date is approaching, then these might best be described as a chip off an old block

    • Or scraping the bottom of the barrel.

    • I CC what you did there!

  • Can confirm this is in Richmond, VIC Coles as well

  • +2

Bought a block of the CC's last week at $1.50, ended up throwing it away. Never thrown chocolate away before.

  • Just bought the one with sea salt. Scans for .50 cents, yes .50 cents at Macquarie Centre Coles.

  • Tasty af

  • My kids wont eat it…

  • They're not bad but Vegemite will always be my favourite.

  • +7

I think the next flavour will be beer and cigarette ash.

    • -1

Technically the chocolates already 'milk stout' beer flavour

    • Cascade brewery should so do a collab with Cadbury chocolate seeing as they're in the same town after all.

  • Crunchy chocolate, nice

  • +1

Both of these are very meh. Good marketing, poor product

  • +1

Have tried the kettle ones, not bad tbh

  • -1

    Yuck.

    Avoid.

  • These were grose, no wonder price has dropped

Saw in Burwood today. Got the salt one for LOLs, hoping I don't up chuck (y)

  • Woolies have had them at $2 for ages too. I don’t mind the Kettle one.

Makes me think both the majors ordered waaaaay too much stock of this. Did they think it was going to be as popular as Caramilk or something?

  • Also available at IGA (WA) at $1.

Yeah, I like them, nothing spectacular but pretty good and amazing for that price.

  • They are cheap because they are wrong and therefore not selling well.

  • +2

I like chocolate, and I like chips. But they don't belong within the same bar together.

  • +1

This is the longest any chocolate has lasted in my house. I keep thinking it will get better but it doesnt.

    • It gets better when you put it in the bin.

It doesn't taste better, but it's better because you don't need to eat it

  • These were $1 in my local Coles about 3 or 4 weeks ago. Picked one up, not too bad! They don't stock it anymore.

  • Still $1.50 at Firle, SA :'(

Not that I was going to buy it or anything lol

  • +1

Still waiting for the lamb souvlaki cadbury block!

    • Oh, the George Calombaris collection, yes. And Matt Preston's Jerk cola chicken.

  • Japan have chocolate-coated chips (Royce) and they seem popular in Asian countries. Maybe they're pushing the wrong market? Anyone tried both to compare?

  • Thanks, this is delicious. Great deal too

  • these are $1.5 here at woolies in launceston

  • $1 at KippaRing QLD Coles

  • Was just about to post this as a deal. Brought 1 of each flavour from Coles Pacific Epping. Ticket on shelf said $1.50 but scanned at $1. I actually like these flavours, the CC more than the Kettle.

  • Still plenty on the shelf at Coles Indooroopilly (Brisbane). Labelled as $1.50, but scans as $1.00.

  • Spotted +30 of the Cc’s at Coles Manuka for $1. I much prefer the Kettles version. Has anyone spotted them in Canberra?
