Price of the 55 inch model?

    • 1,399.00
      Price still on FFP finished

  • what's the deal?

Samsung make the best AMOLED smartphone displays but continue to give us garbage QLED which has its uses but still not as jaw-dropping as an OLED.

I would rather LED, OLED has issues.

      • if you can afford both - then you're probably in the minority. A good OLED screen is breathtaking

          Not in a bright room

          • @oranglama: It's more than enough. QLED are way too bright.

            • @conservative: Oh i was talking about the reflection, dont know why but the reflections look way more disturbing on oled, maybe it's just me.

              • @oranglama: Harvey Norman is a pretty bright store and they look fine to me.

              • @oranglama: My OLED is jaw dropping in comparison to friends qled that cost him a grand more, which is good but not same level as oled The OLED does reflect a bit more but I just had to rearrange some things in the room and it's only apparent when you get 100pc black areas now that I've mitigated that I just sit back and enjoy

                • @BuDWiZe: Your friend overpaid if his QLED cost $1000 more than your OLED.

            • @conservative: Sitting opposite a Q6FNA QLED right now (thank you JB Boxing Day sales!) and it's fine.

              • @The Vat: i'm the type of person to turn down the brightness on all screens to <50%

            • @conservative: For me it's not bright at all.

    • They chose it due to being able to pump out more QLED screens. Harder to produce higher amounts of OLED.

      • And it being cheaper to make. OLED are the highest end.

But they are working on MLED which is OLED without the problems.

FFP means Qantas Frequent Flyer Points, not Free Floating Plasma (Google's top suggestion for this acronym).

    • Being a football fan, the first thing that came to mind for me was Financial Fair Play

        • Offer not available in Manchester City
  • They where able to kill off Plasma, hopefully, we don't also lose OLED to crappy LCD displays too

    • I don't see that happening this time around especially with other players now starting to rebrand the panel's like Sony and pans and Hisense as the bigger 3 currently

    • Equivalent picture quality (q9fn) is far more expensive than OLED. Microled is a way off yet. OLED is the sweet spot.

  • $2400 for 65" Q7 at Domayne delivery included if anyone is interested a higher model.
I think new models are coming after CES thus many stores are clearing out current lines.

    • Exactly, pretty much the Q models are all on sale no matter where you look.

They might go gangbuster before financial year
