That deal was a mistake by jb hi fi and they were not selling them for $79.

I think some people were lucky and got an Office Works price match though….

      • yep definitely was a mistake by JB Hifi

        • i cannot ignore this anymore
          it wasnt a mistake.
there were signs everywhere for 77 at the store
and the full price they are selling NOW is 87

$11 for shipping to Brisbane kills the deal for me :( good for pick ups.

        • I think end of the year for the PC, already out on Mac.

So do these contain a normal 2.5" hard drive, ie could you crack the case open and find a normal drive that could be installed in a laptop?

    • depends, if anything is soldered onto the proprietary board

    • the 1TB 2.5" portable HDDs are slightly taller than normal 2.5" HDDs so it probably won't fit in most laptops

      • +3

well if he's going to "crack the case open", he might as well get a hammer to it and squeeze it into his laptop too…

  • anyone want one unused/new for $99? purchased for backup a month or so back but didn't eventuate…

  • I like the deal but also can't go past 2Tb for $117.

    • That isnt even close to this deal, why bring that up?

    • link?

  • After shipping it's only $7 cheaper than Officeworks. Still cheapest though. But not as cheap as the $79 i paid.

    • its a 2.5" drive not a 3.5" drive like your one that requirs a power supply

  • Not the cheapest 1TB, I've seen. Is it posted here for marketing purpose?

  • +1

Office works price matched when I showed them the website. Straight away. Got it for under $95 pretty happy with it

    • Not far off the $79 mistake frm JB that i tried to pricematch at OW without success wks ago. Im guna hav to go into the same store again, hopefully they'll match it this time.

  • Fluidtek have it for the same price..

  • Is this brand reliable and long-lasting, compared to other brands?
