wish they had more detailed specifications for there battery's, basically only lists CCA and no dimensions.

    • Or weight.

In a tow vehicle I'm trying to minimise weight wherever possible. I've got an old 140ah battery that weighs more than my wife! Would be good to know what these weigh.

      • A decent 140AH battery is going to weigh about the same, regardless of brand.

    • I imagine that if they did list size, people would try to use that to select their battery, and there would be a lot of returns due to wrong terminal size or reversed terminal placement. By forcing you to use their selection tool based on car type, guarantees that you get a suitable battery, minimizing returns.

I've even seen a case (~20 years ago) where somebody bought a battery that was too tall. It was fine for a while, but the terminals were just touching the inside of the bonnet. After a while the paint wore through, and the battery then shorted on the metal of the bonnet! Result was a damaged battery, and scorch marks visible in the paint on top of the bonnet, which needed to be repainted.

my battery will die 1 day after this ends

  • I am not confident in getting one from them. Anyone had any experience using their batteries? Please give some feedback here.

    • Many of their batteries have an 18-month warranty. Car batteries typically have a 3-4 year life in regular use, so they must be pretty confident in their product to offer a warranty that long.

I have had one on my car for three years now. A little bit of acid must have leaked around one of the terminals, because there's a little bit of corrosion build-up where the terminal meets the plastic. But that is pretty standard, I've seen that on many brands of battery.

      • Are these sealed units with no maintenance?

        • +1

model ending 'MF' = maintenance free

    • Don't quote me on this but I recall being told that they are the same as Century batteries, just different packaging and come with less warranty.
