Would've liked to have been at that marketing meeting. raises hand 'What if we simply offer our guests Free breakfast?' long pause 'stfu seamonkey!'

    • I think there is a psychological / marketing theory reason behind this?
Something about customers' perceptions of quality being higher if they pay (even though $1) versus if provided free.

I've stayed and availed of the $1 breakfast offers previously, and noticed that most guests were pretty happy with the offering. There would have been some that paid >$1 for the breakfast, and some that had it included in their group tour or whatever.

Having said that, I think you need to pay extra for an espresso coffee (versus a free machine coffee).

  • How much is breakfast normally?

    • $30 upwards normally from my experience.

  • Toast & jam or what?

Probably the buffet. Decent but not Instagram worthy

  • Do you have to be AccorPlus member, or is it open to everyone

    • +1

I don't think you need to a member.

  • I don't think you need to a member. I just tried for you without logging in with member number and as soon as you click BOOk got the special internet page for buffet breakfast for $1.
Make sure you select the room only on 1st page then add breakfast on 2nd page.
    Cheers

  • As always - compare with travel site deals (eg expedia / agoda / orbitz / cheaptickets 10 - 16 % off)

edit - Though as I write this I realise Accor can sometimes be excluded

  • I don't see the $1 breakfasts for hotels in Queenstown.

  • I stay Ibis Budget or Ibis Budget Sydney Airport a fair bit, and usually book ~9-12 months ahead for huge savings. Especially compared to booking a month or so ahead. No canx/refund etc. And then free brekky at Airport thanks to Amex.

    • What ibis budget is better? Or are all the same? e.g Ibis Budget St Peters or campbelltown ? thanks

  • Seriously .. who came up with this $1 idea .. why not put up free Breakfast? free is no longer the trend?

  • I just booked two days ago for a stay in March. Do I just ask on the morning and I’ll get the deal or do I need to arrange it in advance?

  • The link isn't working
