      • They must have sold out in the last 30min. Perhaps you could message the store again asking them when they will restock.

  • How can I figure out what firmness would work well for me? I only have an old mattress to compare with, which isn't that great.

  • Can anyone comment on the 5 Zone Pocket Spring Mattress?

    • Are you talking about the same mattress in Queen size but for more money? If yes, I could not identify any difference save they want more $$$$.

      • Hi Mate, thanks for the reply. I was looking at this single mattress they also have advertised for a little more. Might just go with the one in this post, reviews look great.

    • I ordered 5 Zone mattress assuming it is better than this standard one, given that there is $50 difference. However, ZZZ Atelier has confirmed that these are the same items. So, seems like price jacking to make up for 15% extra discount (20% POOLTIME - 5%PICK5 which is a long running code).

      • I’ve been watching these mattresses for awhile now and the individual listings have always been $359 king and $309 queen IIRC.

They lowered the prices on the that listing https://www.ebay.com.au/itm/Queen-Double-King-Single-Mattres… about a week ago as they were previously listed at the same price as the individual listings so definitely not pricejacking.

        Hope that makes sense

  • We can't decide on whether to go the softer (6.5) or firmer (9) Queen mattress.
When we've tested various beds in stores we have generally preferred the firmer mattresses, so presumably this is a good indication to go with firm then?

Would appreciate any thoughts or comments from those with first hand experience with both mattresses.

    Thanks!

    • Following. Ready to pull the trigger myself.

    • +2

Go with firm one. It's not actually super firm as they mentioned.

    • Typically, side sleepers use softer mattresses. Back/front sleepers use firmer mattresses.

      • +1

I'm a side/front sleeper, which is really difficult to find a mattress that can do both. In the past have gone for very firm as most of the time I seem to spend most of the night on my front.

However since I've been sleeping on this Black-Label ZZZ mattress (2 weeks - should have waited for this sale dammit) every time I've woken up I notice that I'm on my side. So it would appear to be changing my sleeping habits with the extra quality & comfort, and my back and neck (thanks to a new expensive IKEA pillow as well) are thanking me/it!

        • What pillow did you pick up from IKEA?

  • Tempting to buy one in a king single, not too sure how soft/firm it is can anyone comment?

I'm using a forty winks posturepedic medium firm mattress so worried that I'll sink into this, how good is the support?

Had my current mattress for 6-7 years and think it's shit

    • +1

I'm very heavy and don't sink into it. This was my biggest concern before purchasing, but I love it. Sitting on edge sinks a bit — feels like a foam mattress — but spreading weight across it to sleep and it's by far the best mattress I've ever slept on.

  • King mattress out of stock…. damn

  • Just tossing up between the king size to replace our old mattress. Anyone know if there is a huge amount of difference between them?

I see the cheaper ones are sold out - wondering if I should wait for a restock on those?

I bought the extra firm queen (its labelled on eBay as "Super Firm Mattress w/ Extra Firm Pocket Spring + Ultra HD Foam") about three months ago, and have not regretted it. It arrived within a few days, no chemical smell that I noticed, was easy to unpack and looks amazing/high quality. It took a week or so for me to get used to how firm it was compared to my last mattress and for a few days I wondered if I had made a mistake as it felt like I was sleeping on the floor, but after that, it just became amazingly comfortable.

I'm a large person and it supports my weight really well. I barely make a dent in it. The edge support could be a little firmer, imo. But it's not so bad that its an issue. It may even just be me, as my previous mattress sat inside a frame in my previous bed (the new mattress is on a koala bed), so I didn't really notice edge support/can't make a comparison. I guess it dips about a quarter to a third when I am sitting on the edge. Like anything, once you get used to it, its fine.

    • The edges are softer than other mattresses because, I imagine, they have to packed in a box. But how much time do you spend sitting on the edge of your bed?

    • Does it feel like you're sleeping on the floor though or does it have some sort of pillowtop cushioning?

    • Also would like to know a comparison. Mine is currently firm that the wife complains about (shh, no joke), but not sleeping on the floor firm. Just wondering as you say you are larger and don't even make a dent.

      • +1

Yeah I mean, I can't see what I look like lying on the bed. Maybe it does dip. But it doesn't -feel- like I am dipping down much at all. When I bought it I was worried that my weight would cause it to dip a lot. It's actually the primary reason I bought the firm instead of the medium. I was really worried that even the firm would dip a lot. But it doesn't feel like it does. And when I put my hand down next to me and smooth it over the mattress, it doesn't feel like there is a slope. It did feel like I was sleeping on the floor the first week. But once I got used to it its become comfortable and feels soft, but still firm. I'm sorry I am not able to explain it more, but I was very surprised that it supported my weight so well.

        • The floor comment has me a little concerned. Looks like I'll be buying a half pillow top for the wife after all. Hahaha

Oh well, I could literally sleep anywhere/on a floor so I'm sure it'll at least suit me fine. Maybe a cheap solution to NOT being relegated to the couch. WINNING!

        • Mine turned up today, it's definitely firm. Very similar to our current all latex mattress so I'm sure it'll be fine for me.

Daresay the wife will want that mattress topper, there isn't a lot of give in it at all and I'm about 85kg.

          • @db87: May I ask when yours was posted or what postcode you live in if you feel comfortable just wondering how long I can expect to receive mine.

            • @Luckyuser: Not at all, Heidelberg VIC 3084.

Bought 15/1 with expected arrival being 21/1.

As I've seen in some of the comments, Hunter express, zero contact, just turned up. Lucky for me I'm renovating so I'm at the house every day.

              • @db87: Thanks for that, hope you enjoy your mattress.

Do latex beds smell like condoms?

  • The Queen size came back in stock, just bought one, cheers!

  • Damn I just pulled the trigger on a $750 King OneBed. Does anyone know how they compare?

  • Very tempted to grab a queen size

  • i emailed the store and more queens were added.. pulled the trigger for $200 cant go wrong!

  • Anyone else find the edge springs on these are a bit too firm? Got a queen one about 6 months ago mine makes me and my wife lean into the middle a bit.

    • Might be the base/slat deflection?

      • No base/slat is good.

  • +2

Had mine for two weeks — absolutely love it. Most comfortable mattress I've ever slept on.

  • What's the return policy like?

    • I hope they don’t accept returns because I do not want to a mattress that’s been used.

    • Follow the link. It's on the linked page.

  • +1

Decisions decisions. I have an old latex that needs replacing the wife says is too firm. Her old mattress is SOFT though and I wake up with a sore back almost always after sleeping in it. Listed mattress or the extra firm option? Can anybody please weigh in. Tempted to buy both at this price and just hide it in a spare room.

    • +3

The normal one is on the softer side of firm. I'd get the extra firm and put a topper on it if too firm.

      • Solid advice regarding the topper, will grab a firm one myself thanks Clinton!

      • Cheers. Seems like a smart compromise. 👍

  • Chiropractor endorsed. Lol.

    • Wondering how does it compare against Oz Plaza Living mattresses, that are lower priced even without code, says chiro endorsed.

  • Just wondering if these guys had a 30 night guarantee or anything.. Does anyone know? I can't seem to find any information

    • +2

seriously? you expect them to roll in a 30 night guarantee on a $200 matress?

      • A lot of people try their mattresses in the shops. A lot of companies that provide mattresses in boxes do provide a guarantee. A mattress is an investment in my eyes. I don't want to buy it and find out it's no good for my back/sleep quality.

    • +2

You can go to their official website and pay a 200% premium for the exactly the same one with that guarantee. Or take the risk on the eBay one for 1/3 of the price. Any mattress company who offers that trial period will have a huge margin on the price as a result (I mean, think about it).

We did the latter and no regrets.

    • I believe, as soon as you open the packaging, mattress starts inflating to full size. No returns thereafter.

    • Name checks out (such an Asian request).

      P.s. I'm Asian too.

      • I'm not even Asian. Lol

  • What mattress does not heat up?

    • +3

      A fridge.

      • …only if you turn it up high but

    • you could buy a bamboo topper

    • A mattress that Scab isn't lying on!

  • Singles our of stock.

    • +3

They'll be back in stock on Valentines Day

      • lol :)

  • +1

Bought one of these in the last deal. Bought a queen and a king. Highly recommend these mattresses.

  • Any recommended Bed / Frame for the Mattress?

  • So while we're on the topic of beds, what kind of pillow do you guys use?

I'm after something that is low profile for a back sleeper. Need something that supports the neck but don't want my head bent forward because I'll snore otherwise.

    Any recommendations?

    • +2

      woolies 50% off tontine

    • +1

      Side sleeper here….
I have this exact one, but found it unsuitable as its too low & too much space between shoulder & neck. But it might work great for neck support for back sleeper. I also prefer a contour for back, stops head from slipping forward & ending up with neck in crooked position. It is very soft latex, would work well with this bed. Also don't recommend memory foam pillows. They feel good initially, but compress & lose support.
      https://www.target.com.au/p/talalay-latex-contour-pillow/571…

Dunlopillo is good, but is much harder than Target one. Hope this helps!

      • Haha what a coincidence, I was just reading the reviews on that target one you linked! Guess I'll have to cave in since everyone is saying that's a winner! Cheers mate :)

        • +1

Oh wow, that is kinda freaky. Anyway, hope u like it if u do get it. Pillows etc are such personal taste. I bought 2 memory foam & 3 latex b4 I found the right one for neck pain. Spent more on pillows than the zzz mattress! Strangely, when I first tried latex, had bizarre lucid nightmares for first few months - I was convinced attributed to by pillow. Maybe my subconscious was going into a deeper sleep because of the comfort, weightless feeling but could be just me being weird!

  • Great mattress, however be warned! In summer it gets really hot if you don't have AC in the room. The mattress is made up of latex.

  • Got a queen a few weeks ago.Good mattress. For the price it's very good bang for your buck.

  • +1

Can anyone recommend a good pillow to go with my new mattress? Something with good neck support etc., they’ve got a couple, but not sure how they rate.

    Cheers.

  • +1

This is an amazing mattress, I have one to give away for free as we are moving overseas and want it gone, only used for a few months, first by us then on guest bed. Truly the reviews are true, they are super comfy. Needs to be picked up from Sutherland 2232 no later than Sunday. PM me or [email protected]. First come etc.

    • What size is it? :)

  • Firm one bought. Strangely, on the app it shows as free shipping whereas the Web link hinted at $20+. It might have changed at checkout but I didn't take the chance.

Cheers OP, hopefully the wife is happy. Otherwise pillow top it is. 😂

Now to potentially replace the pillows. 🤔

  • No queen size left just king single :(

    • Queen still in stock. I just added one to the cart, went to checkout, applied the code. No problems here

  • +1

Purchased the king mattress last year, great value, no complaints.

    • me too.

  • +1

I pulled the trigger on a king with the 5 zones - for a bed that's gonna last us a few years (hopefully) I figured that the extra $50, when cost is divided over time, would result in some sort of net benefit. Potentially I'm being optimistic, but the posted version was out of stock and I didn't want to be worried about whether it was coming back into stock.

FYI Perth people - the king 5-zone mattress was $360 delivered using POOLTIME. Still feels like a bargain to me :)

    • +2

The one linked here also features 5 zone?

      • Like I said, I'm hoping there is some added benefit which is as yet unseen. But in the meantime, $360 inclusive of delivery for a King is still doable.

Edit: The King was out of stock in the OP link and I didn't want to sweat over nabbing it when it came back in (if it does). OzB skills clearly need leveling up :p

  • didnt some bed in a box recently take out the matress review on choice as well??? anyone go details of that review?

  • +1

No Stock left for King or Queen. They have another Queen available for around $309. Does anyone know if it is same quality just pricejacked, or different quality altogether.

    • Just keep checking back, if you send them an email they'll restock within a few hours.

    • Description is the exact same, so it seems to be the same thing at a higher price.

  • Are Tommy Swiss and ZZZ Atelier the same company?

  • Thanks, got the double super firm mattress. The number of positive reviews this has is suspicious though. Most sites it's hovering more than 4.5+/5. Pretty sure a LOT of them are paid or fake reviews or they remove all negative reviews.

  • Thanks OP. Ordered the firm King.
Now I have to look for a king bed frame for this.

  • +1

Bought one earlier, but just had time to open an icy cold ($3!, Thanks OzBargain!)Heineken 650ml (and chuck some Eneloops on charge of course!) and sit down to say thanks OP!

  • +1

SOLD OUT :( KINGLE SINGLE LEFT

  • Can anyone suggest a good (King) base to go with this? Ideally with this level of bang for buck!

    • Get the koala one, I hear many good things about it, but it's a little expensive.

    • Ebay have some for $200
