Unless it's a very old version of android, they should be encrypted.
Upon erasing normally (without extra software) the decryption keys are lost, meaning the phone is filled with "random data" now.
Since its been demonstrated 10's of times in legal preceedings, law enforcement cant decrypt it as evidience, so whats the use of this software really?
Phones are not setup with encryption by default, and laws have changed to force companies to assist governments with decryption if necessary…that is why!
And I’m sure governments are really interested in seeing your cat videos.

Modern Android only exposes files via MTP. Hence there’s not possible way this is doing anything different than what can be done from Explorer for free without third party software (Cntrl + A, Delete).
The only alternative if using a custom recovery, which this is not.
Basically, pointless and no deal.
