  • Z2 or X4?

      https://m.gsmarena.com/compare.php3?idPhone1=8634&idPhone2=8…

Unless you want a (slightly!) bigger/OLED screen I can't see why you'd go for the Z2.

      • Z2 Play is 2mm thinner and 20 grm lighter even with larger screen. Also can use Moto Mods on the Z2 Play.

Can't believe I did not get a brand new Z2 Play 64GB/4GB dual sim in black for $331 on clearance at an Officeworks 4 months ago.

    • I had the Z2, gave it to my wife and got a GS8. Prefer the Z2 in a lot of ways. I'd rather the aluminium body over the glass of the X4, and the AMOLED screen is fantastic.

    • X4 have newer GPU and is ip68 water and dust proof.

  • Darn, no Nokia 6.1

  • Is Z2 better than G6 plus?

  • +5

Was going to say that is a steal for an LG G6….

    • underrated phone but LG and Samsung have bad software

      • Been using a v30 here for a year and no real issues so far besides a bit flaky Wi-Fi at home, but that's 3/4 of my devices at home so not the phones fault

      • +1

Have you used a Samsung phone recently? Samsung experience was a big improvement over touchwiz, and OneUI (which is rolling out now) seems to be getting a great reception from end users.

still waiting for a deal on the pocophone.

  • Hi OP - how long is the warranty on LG G7? Thanks

    • +1

24 months as per the ebay add.

      • thanks mate

  • Now have a Moto G5 Plus about 1.5 years old, thinking of getting a Moto X4, 64GB, 4GB RAM. I know the X4 is hybrid slot so doesn't support dual sim and microsd. Anything else I should know?

Anywhere I can get discounted ebay vouchers - the last sale was end of December - 15% off eBay Gift Cards @ PayPal Digital Gifts eBay (via eBay UK)?

Also rep is it possible to click and collect from Allphones stores? It doesn't have that option in the listing.

    • Hi brisdaz,

Currently Allphones only offer delivery only

Never LG again after piss poor response to my LG G4 bootloop issue

    • +1

That's like three years ago. I got a replacement not dead yet. Great for rooting

    • +3

LG quality is crap from my experience with 3 phones.
      Boot loop,over heating
      Poor battery life

      • +3

I've had the G7 for 4 months now and it has been great. Perfect upgrade for my S7Edge without having to raid my kids future school fund to buy it hahaha.

      • +1

People forget all the pixel and nexus devices they made. I have had a v30 for a year and hasnt skipped a beat

      • I have been using a v30 plus that I got from a deal here, for about a year now. Great phone. Definitely will buy again.

  • Do you have G6 plus?

    • Hi neonlight,

Unfortunately the Moto G6 Plus is currently out of stock

  • +1

    Lg g7 is 6.1 inch.

    • Hi boxall,

Nice pickup, thanks it has been fixed.

      • Hi rep, can you confirm if the invoice will show full price or price after 20% discount?

  • +1

No more LG for me, yes I have said it before, but after a G4 and now a G6 dying before 2 years no more LG for me no matter how good the price is to suck me in.

    • Yep same. Real shame. I also had a G4 and G6 fail. And the updates were slower then Samsung.

  • G7 probably is cheapest SD845 device (AU stock) on the market, anyone can comment on his battery life?

  • I just wish LG used a OLED screen for the G7…thought about getting a US version V35+ but they are mostly used and obviously zero warranty, let alone no B28 etc…

I know the V40 is coming out but it will be too expensive until 1-2 years later…so I might just compromise and get the G7 :( I just really really want a OLED phone with SD845 + good audio + good camera… (such a first world problem…lol)

    • Not good. I picked mine up a couple of months ago and while I think it's a good buy at this price, the battery life has been disappointing. It just gets me through (most) days but I expect better at this stage. Only 3000mAh battery for such a large screen.

      • do you normally have 4G, GPS, wifi on? maybe you had the super bright mode on?

        • Yes to 4G & GPS when out and about but I rarely engage super bright. I do like that I can read this screen with my (polarised) sunnies.

          • @pupdog: then that doesnt sound too bad, sounds like you're a fairly heavy user.
How do you find the screen compare to OLED? Good black levels?

            • @homersyd: Hmm, medium use, maybe? Black levels are OK but OLED it ain't. Viewing angles are good but colours are off. For outside viewing, this screen is great.

      • The battery life is worser than oneplus 6 and 6t that's for sure

  • Can Officeworks do a price match for a Moto G6? Currently it is $348 on their website.

    • Looks like the Moto G6 is $247 at OfficeWorks at the moment.

      https://www.officeworks.com.au/shop/officeworks/p/motorola-m…

      • You're absolutely correct. Thank you.

The so called Special Deals with shipping is still 20% more expensive even after applying the ebay discount code.

Hold on… This is play version of moto g6. Is it better than moto G6? Thanks guys.

        • +2

          Nope. Inferior. Check out specifications.

        • Hi Michael1983,

The Moto G6 and G6 Play were released together last year, G6 at an RRP of $399 and G6 Play at and RRP of $299. The key differences are that the G6 screen is Full HD resolution, whereas G6 play is HD, G6 runs the slightly faster Snapdragon 450 chip than the Snapdragon 430 chip found in the G6. G6 also has dual rear cameras, whereas G6 Play only has a single rear camera. However the G6 Play has a larger battery than the G6 (4000mAh vs 3000mAh). So the G6 wins in screen, processor and cameras, however the G6 Play has better battery life.

      • Hi tongu,

You linked the Moto G6 Play, not the Moto G6. The Moto G6 being featured in this deal for $287.20 officeworks is currently selling for $348. Thanks

  • Doea this range of LG phones have bootlooping issue anymore? I suffered hell with my G4, too scared to touch LG since then.

    • Have had my v20 nearing 2 yrs now and no bootloop issues to report about.

  • Not that I'm aware of. I,too, went thru bootloop hell with the G4. I swore never to buy another LG product. Yet here I am banging this out on me G7. So far (not very far), so good.
