    Only.if 70+ inch Oleds were this price…..

    • +2

If only they made them in 70"…

      Nice find OP

      • They make them in 85" :D

    • +2

I'd prefer if houses were this price.

      • +1

Yeah I'd love a Ferrari, only if it was as much as a carton of milk.

  • +1

If the 77 inch was under 5k I would go for it but that's a pipe dream as they don't sell many and the left ce has never dropped under 10kni think ?

  • Have been holding out for c8 but at this price might just go then b8.

    • Same panel. Just do it!

    • Also seriously considering.

  • +1

    tick not a duplicate box

    • Thanks!

  • Videopro dropped to same price and only $77 delivery so save an extra $13 for those eligible.

Thanks OP, this will be great for the kids to watch cardoons while I conspire to cheat at international sport.

  • What is the difference in B8 & C8

    • Different CPU but No difference in picture quality according to rtings.

      • For the lamens; is that a big deal? Is it worth the extra $700~ to get the C8?

        • edit: Will this also play 4K Foxtel? Our old 65" 4K says it is incompatible with the 4k Foxtel box.

      • +1

I think the C8 has one extra feature call black frame insertion for motion processing.

        • +1

The B8 also has the optional BFI.

Not to say RTINGS couldn't be wrong but they are well regarded and say this of the 2:

"The LG C8 is very similar to the LG B8 for mixed usage. The C8 offers performance in the same ballpark and the small differences between the two TVs could be due to panel variance. The C8 has the newer Alpha 9 processor whereas the B8 still carries the Alpha 7 processor but we did not see a significant difference in performance."
          https://www.rtings.com/tv/tools/compare/lg-b8-vs-lg-c8/647/6…

To get down to some technical difference
          * C8 has slightly higher peak brightness in SDR and HDR
          * C8 can handle HDR and HRF simultaneously although with hdmi 2.0 limitations and content available perhaps non issue.
          * C8 also does 4 step noise reduction vs 2 step of the B8 A7 processor.

          • @Osiris: Still go with C8!

          • @Osiris: Higher peak brightness does make a difference I reckon, but you know, in a real world setup would you really be able to tell the difference? Only in a really bright room maybe.

        • I've tried the black frame insertion mode on the C8. Did not like it at all.

          • @asubtleviolence: Yeah not for everyone, the C9 makes good improvements with this apparently.

  • Thanks

They use a terrible courier company - and take no responsibility for it once it leaves their hands. Have cancelled my boxing day order to reorder through Video Pro.

    • +3

Hunter express, I had a very long slow experience with them but once it arrived it was ok.

      • Hunter express rock up without notice with the tv and say they will leave it there if you don't pick it up in five minutes.

Driver will then continue to blame you for saving money on postage. And you get what you pay for service. Though there is no alternative option.

      • Do the Hunter Express comments refer to Appliance Central or Video Pro? Just want to be sure.

    • I would agree with that. Did you have an issue with an item and they didn’t take responsibility?

    • Did they use Allied Express with your order?

  • This or the Sony from a couple of days ago?

    • +2

Sony if you don't mind pay more.

      • Do Sony TV's still do that BS cinavia copyright protection?

    • I'm in exactly the same boat and completely torn. The Sony sounds like better motion handling along with the sound (not a deal breaker) but the B8 is on par for the rest…plus I already have webos on my current TV and it's a far nicer than android TV. Decisions, decisions…

      • If it wasn't damaged box/possibly returned stock id go the Sony personally. The motion and upscaling would outweigh any gaming needs for me.

  • +2

Gonna hold out for a 65 C9, have two LED tvs but never bought one myself so want an OLED and 65inch even though the 55 is better value.

Will game, movie, series and bit if sport. First non dumb TV too.

    • I'll be waiting for your post. I'm waiting for the C9 too. Bought the C8 but I was late and they oversold.

I'm always late to the OLED deals. :(

    • Expect them to be double this price if you want one at launch. Then another 2 years if you want one this price.

      • You mean one year. They release a new model every year. It's right there in the model name. B8=2018. My folks have a G7 From 2017.

  • +2

C9 65” will be freaking expensive

    • Same as these were when the launched.

    • All OLEDs are, then they start discounting them about a month or 2 later.

  • Don't expect this kind of pricing on C9 until at least 2020.
I bought c7 when it was just released and even after with 20% code it was around 5 grand.

  • Don’t hesitate to get this TV it is simply gorgeous and amazing to watch Full HD or 4k content on especially on Netflix. It somehow looks better then real life with beautiful HDR contrast. i bought it a few days ago for $2950 and thought i got a great deal. I wouldn’t bother getting a more expensive oled as you will barely notice any difference to be honest.

  • Does anyone know if I can stack with the EBAY vouchers you can purchase with flybuys points?

  • Dammit. My house will be ready in 4 months so don't need the TV right now. Do I wait for the C8 to go down in price or pull the trigger now? Help please!

    • I don’t think the C8 will reduce in price. They are in pretty short supply right now and no new stock being produced. Here in Canberra I only found one store with stock and the best price I could get was $3700.

  • Gets the C8 or Sony A8F not the B8 as it’s inferior.

    • Lol and your reason is?

      • It is inferior, but not by much. 300nits less peak brightness and a lower spec processor.

    • Most people could not tell the B8 & C8 apart side by side, unless you run very specific tests.

      • That dude probably just like to say it.

  • Hey OP, Appliance Central have dropped the price slightly. $2637 + Delivery now

    • Still showing as $3380 for me? which with 20% off is whats in the OP title

      • Sorry mate. Apologies. Must have been seeing stars during the day yest.

  • Just pulled the trigger! Thanks OP.

I have a 65" B8 available in Adelaide. Purchased through the Domayne AMEX offer. Took delivery of it one week ago 14/1/19 from HN. PM if interested. $2.5k firm.

    • Hi funkryx, can't PM you as new user. Interested in your B8 in Adel, why are you selling?

  • Cheapest for the C8 65" is currently around $3432 + delivery. I doubt paying the extra $732+ for the benefits of the C8 are really worth it.

  • Bought 65B8 last night from Video Pro $2,704+77 order accepted so appears they still have stock. Thanks OP and everyone for your helpful comments.

    • Bing Lee 2,390 today.

      Price guarantee from eBay?

      • Also curious as I bought from this deal.

      • My search today shows BL at $2988. Can you provide link or has it changed? Their site qualifies for price guarantee and I bought Thur night so I'm interested.

        • Ah that was on BL website but I see there is an eBay "deal". Will see if they will honour price guarantee

          • @nevilleescort: Didn't work out. Pretty sure it accepted my Melbourne address when I first looked but BL must have "fixed" it as now it won't (as noted by others). Must be able to deliver (including having stock which they no longer do) to meet the price guarantee conditions. Ah well.
