20,000 Woolworths Rewards Points after Taking out Pet Insurance

110
PET20K

Was emailed this offer from Woolworths Rewards - 20,000 WR points (=$100 in Woolworths or 8,700 Qantas miles) for taking out pet insurance policy and paying one premium.

Haven't seen what the cheapest policy could be yet but seems a decent number of points?

Offer applies to new policies only before 11:59pm 24 February 2019 and cannot be used in conjunction with any other offer. To receive the offer you must be a Woolworths Rewards member (excludes Tasmanian residents) and enter your Woolworths Rewards card number plus the promo code PET20K at time of purchasing the policy. Woolworths Rewards bonus points will be loaded within 30 days of the first premium being paid in full. Points will not be backdated. Redemption of Woolworths Rewards is subject to the Woolworths Rewards Terms and Conditions available at woolworthsrewards.com.au.

Can any family member count as pet?

    • Haha probably, although it does ask if they've been neutered :O

Cheapest I've found so far is $18/fortnight.

    • Medicare is cheaper.

      • But where's the Woolies reward points there? :)

    • Sure, but you'll be treated by a Vet, &
your shots have to be hp to date.

  • Participated in a previous similar promotion with bonus points with Woolworths Car Insurance and they did not pay out the points as per their conditions, so I had to spend hours with a number of sessions with customer service chat trying to get it attached to my account.
Then my 20000 points on my Rewards card vanished and were stolen by someone in Blacktown leading to even more fuss.

And apparently points are still unsecured as of December 2018 so spend the 20000 quickly!

    • Hmm, that's a bit worrying how much hassle it was to get them (never mind the poor security and them being stolen!)

Does that include a free rental pet whilst yours is in for repairs?

  • way more expensive than competitors such as RSPCA.

    • By how much?

      • $12/month cheaper elsewhere and $0excess as oppose to $100 with woolworths.

        • thanks

But I was looking at more from the POV of getting the points and cancelling, not actually keeping it as a policy…

  • Do they cover your pet for Agreed or Market Value?

  • Points received already! Thanks op
