What if I need a SIM for longer than 30 days?

Unless you are in England and you can top up directly at a ThreeUK shop, you will need to buy multiple SIMs and swap them out as you go.

What's the coverage like?

      So it may not suit your needs unless you want to grab a few and swap them out as you go.

      I am also interested in getting the Japan Sim. However in regards to this deal I see that Simcorner's regular pricing is $40 with free shipping, however you are offering 25% off your regular price and it is still higher then their regular price? Can you go lower otherwise this is not a good deal.

          No worries. Just a friendly advice maybe you should reduce your regular pricing so when you do a deal it's a genuine deal and ozbargainers are actually getting a good deal. It just looks you have inflated your regular pricing so you provide a "discount" that is not really a "discount". Also another example is that you have your Asia 15 Day Sim for $55 when Simcorner has it for $45 regular pricing.

            @tclips24: Thanks for the advice tclipse,

            I wouldn't call it inflating, I simply cannot sell my products that cheap.

            Simscorner have been around for a long time (they are the OG's) and most likely have better relationships with their suppliers or order in much larger quantities than I can.

            My prices are set at what I can afford as a startup business, and my deals are what I can afford to offer as a discount.

            I do not claim to have the cheapest prices or offer the best deals, I simply offer what I can.

            I do however respect what you are saying and I completely understand where you are coming from! Ozbargain is about great deals, and if it's cheaper somewhere else, then fair game!

            I will make sure to really keep a closer eye on what's out there before posting in the future.

      That's a pretty good price!

      There is one catch with that product because it is a 'Pay as you go' product the 30GB will only work in the UK.

      There is a 'fine print' condition that only 15GB of data can be used per 30 days outside of the UK (in 'go roam' destinations).

      Great question!

      I didn't even stop to think about this before posting.

      I have had a few discussions with my supplier about this and he's confident nothing will change immediately. If changes were to be made it would take some.

      I've done a quick little google search and this article from BBC mentions:

      "Will these charges return after Brexit?

      If the UK leaves the EU on 29 March 2019 as planned, with a withdrawal agreement in place, any changes won't happen immediately. All EU rules and regulations, including on mobile roaming anywhere in the EU, will continue to apply until the end of the transition period on 31 December 2020."

      We will have to wait and see what happens. If the roaming was to be removed from the product without warning, I will have to deal with it when we get to it.

        Hey Aidan, sorry it wasn't a crack at your product/service. It'll probably continue until the telcos decide otherwise. I expect there's long term roaming contracts in place between telcos, so no worries for most.

    Not a deal. Buy exactly this SIM on arrival at a UK airport (or getting off the Eurostar), for A$36 (GBP20) standard everyday price.

      Ah, tricky. Been reading there may be a roaming data limit of 15Gb. Over that you pay a small amount per Mb.

      I suppose worth paying the small amount extra to buy from the OP as then you can ask them all the nitty gritty.

      Not quite, you pay 1.99GBP for delivery so its currently $41.54. Granted you get the extra data, but you don't get the personalised service/support you would get from SimsDirect and have to wait for OS delivery. Pro's and con's depending on your situation I guess.

        It was $39.50 including delivery. Delivery could be up to 2 weeks, though I generally find stuff from the UK is not too bad. Better network, but yes, the support might be better if you need it.

      Hi Katz,

      The SIM will operate on Cosmote or Wind Hellas.

      The SIM will select a network automatically when you land in Greece, but you can manually select the other carrier in your device settings also.

      Sometimes this is a good idea to try and get better data speeds.

      Recharging: Currently the only way to recharge is to have a UK credit card and call ThreeUK directly. We used to recommend an online recharge service but had a lot of complaints from customers so we do not recommend it anymore. We simply recommend just using multiple SIM cards instead.

      Lyca: That's a pretty good price for a SIM. I can't comment on LycaMobiles SIM cards as I have never used them.

    I bought the SIM card in May 2018. I can confirm I was able to top up using a specific website that accepted PayPal (AU credit card) after confirming my identity. I've topped up twice and was able to use it in Europe.

    Coverage depends on the country/network. The automatic selection might not be the best option. I manually selected a different carrier in Portugal and the results were pretty good. Then, in Germany, the connection was unstable/slow/useless most of the time. Alternating network didn't change the results.
