      Hey. FYI I tried and it doesn't work - either there's something preventing the SIM & Telstra Air app to work together or there is simply an issue with the Hotspot I'm trying to connect to. Either way, it seems to connect for 2 seconds before disconnecting.

      Oddly enough though, my $2 SIM arrived already activated without recharge and I'm actually able to use 4G data - not sure how much data is available but I guess it's free?
      I don't recall providing any payment details when I signed up for the SIM so to have data without a recharge is rather strange. Maybe I should've used a fake name to be totally in the clear….

        i’ve still got my $30 telstra sim set up as long-life so i get telstra air :)

          @Zazer: That's great. Yeah I'm tempted to do something like that too but I'm not sure if the issue with the particular Hotspot I need to use in my building. If the Hotspot has issues then there's no point in me paying for it I guess

  My Kogan SIM is on the 90 days grace period post expiry of plan. Can I still port to Telstra during this period? I'm just wanting to extend the duration without recharge, for a month or so.

    Replying to my own comment. Could anyone confirm if this is possible? Number is active but with incoming suspended. Can I still port out from Kogan in this period?

  Can I use it to test VoLTE and WiFi calling without recharge. I can't get them to work with my G6 and boost, just want to prove if caused by boost or my phone.
