Oroton - 70% off Storewide - Factory Outlets Only - 21st to 27th April

490

Good morning Ladies and Gents. I am proud to bring you this deal live from the middle of my overseas holiday - yeah dedication baby! My trilogy prophecy is now complete (yay!): http://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/36039#comment-334689

And again the heaviest discounting I have ever seen for Oroton!

Blurb below adapted from my last deal (sorry would have come up with something more interesting but too busy travelling):

Key points:
1) 70% off at all Oroton Factory Outlet Boutiques Only!
2) Many outlets carry lingerie too now.
3) Stock will be refreshed in the morning and a few times throughout the day. If you ask a sales chick nicely they'll bring out some fresh stock.
4) Be prepared to queue.
5) Be prepared for dirty looks, women lunging for last handbags and other generally catty behavior (yes they have a security guard in store lol)
6) Men, visit the store to see point 5 above. It's great entertainment alone. However, if you bring your woman along your excitement will be short lived as she maxxes out your credit card.

Details of Factory Outlets can be found here: http://www.oroton.com/boutiques
NSW: Birkenhead Point, Homebush DFO.
VIC: Essendon
QLD: Brisbane Airport, Cairns, Harbourtown

PLEASE NOTE: Not valid at Aspect Onehunga

EDIT: The link keeps changing itself each time I try to fix it, dropping the "index.html" so you click through to a blank page. The actual link is here: http://node3.au.trclient.com/4300/content/AW11/1104/factory2… - Mod: FIXED

overpriced stuff coming from china, massive markup and quality now not as good as a few years back,Bought a hand bag 2xmas ago for my wife, paid good money for it,has been looked after but showing fairly substantial wear and tear and would never pay again that sort of money for oroton

Oroton's quality was OK back when their goods were made in Australia, but as is often the case when companies go public (and accountants take over!), production shifted to China and value has been progressively bled out of the products they sell. All that's left is slick branding and expensive marketing campaigns meant to fool consumers into thinking they're buying a quality proudct.

  • I think Oroton DFO Homebush doesn't sell men's range…
    Shame…

    • Yeah they sell man gstring

    • Yeah they do, I just bought two leather shoulder satchels, and a few wallets.

    Sub Total : $AUD 148.50
    Shipping : $AUD 9.95
    GST included (10%) : $AUD 14.40
    Total : $AUD 158.45

    • Thanks for the heads up. Otherwise I wouldn't have bothered checking the site out other than the store locations. Thank goodness for online shopping - no queues, waiting, pushing and shoving. Even if the items look bad in reality I can most likely sell it on ebay without any loss :)

btw I got the anastasia tote bag too (as well as a wallet).

    • had a look online and it seems the online store is only 30% off for the male bags? unless im looking in the wrong section i don't see 70% off

edit: ok so it seems its only the outlet section of the online store i see.

i wonder if the online store is representative of what will be on sale in store….

      • Hmm… Online isn't discounted as much as the actual storefronts.
The store literally have 70% off the RRP of EVERYTHING in the store, whereas it doesn't look as promising online.

For instance, an umbrella I just bought for $16.50 is online at $50.00, not including shipping.
The umbrella was one they took out of the storeroom, brand new with the bubble wrapping and everything. I don't think I could get a crappy umbrella at K-Mart for the same price.

I suggest you all make an effort to go to the store if you can, it'll be so much more worth it.

        • Yesterday i saw umbrella online for $16.50 too but today they increase the price to $50. Shame!

    • "just got anastasia tote for my gf"

man I need a new bf!

I just looked at their men's range on the website… you've got to be kidding. I expect a $500 leather bag to be hand-sewn on the thighs of Spanish virgins.

    • Classic!!

    Positive for your dedication!

    Great deal too :)

I went to this sale last time - hideous! You have to line up like cattle for 30 minutes in order to be let in the store while a teenage security guard flexes his newly found power, then shuffle and squish your way through the store, women with prams blocking the way through, then wait in line that snakes around the store for over an hour to pay, plus the selection is very limited. Don't bother unless you have two hours to burn. Not sure I want to put myself through it again LOL.

  • it's so tempting with those discounted price, but gotta stick to my budget :(

  • +1

If you're after real quality, then in light of the recent AUD strength, you can get higher quality stuff (indie/local euro brands as well as the popular fashion houses) for much cheaper than the stuff Oroton tries to sell you. And at least the quality is there (difference in leather, fabric, you can tell it).

But hey, I have nothing against people buying stuff for the 'prestige value' anyway :) Just my take on things.

    • Got any site or brand reccommendations I've been shopping online alot lately but still havent found the right bag for the right price :)

      • +1

do you go to ozsale.com.au ? sometimes they have some branded stuff with reduced priced.

  • thanks. just bought a new wallet for $28 (RRP$95)!

    • in store or online?

      • +1

in store. there wasn't a long line at all. only had to wait 5 mins. :P

  • lots of stuff out of stock now (online)… so, get in quick!

  • +1

    Bye bye $450.
Moderate line at DFO Homebush at about 4pm.

Don't be afraid to ask the younger shop assistants if there are new ones in stock, the first grumpy managerial position lady in her mid 40's bluntly said that "that's the last two of them", only for another attendant to open the draws under and hand me brand new boxes.

  • I popped in at lunch break yesterday and there was a line of 3 people in front of me. There was plenty of stock. I ended up buying a bag, pair of sunnies, towel and a key ring. The sales assistant gave me all (except the bag) from the stock room brand new unopened in their packaging.

Am at DFO Homebush now, line is out the main doors, moving 5metres in 10mins. I'm such a good boyfriend.
