  • Same at domayne and -$150 with amex deal..

Is that a good price.. Still shame it doesn't come with a keyboard tho

    • Amex deal basically pays for the keyboard.

    • Link pls? $900ish?

      Apples and oranges mate.

      A gaming laptop?

With a 15 inch screen and weighing 2.5kg… Completely different devices.

That’s like comparing a car to a truck.

Refuse to buy a tablet/laptop with only 1 usb port. That's the biggest deal breaker.

    • Yeah no USB-C too is kinda sucky, but it’s still a great system. Plus, there are some nice hubs for this thing that sort of ‘snap on’.

      • Baffling how the Surface Go gets a USB-C port but not the Surface Pro 6 or Surface Laptop 2..

        • Yep. They are just milking it so USB-C can be hyped on their next release which would have to be late this year. If they don’t release USB-C by the end of this year they will lose a good market chunk.

        • It's only the connector shape that's different, transfer speed is no faster with USB C. So just get an adapter.

**Available colours for Type Cover and Surface Pro 6 may vary by market and configuration. (Signature Type Cover, Surface Pen, and Surface Arc Mouse each sold separately). is that means the Type cover is included?

    • Nope, not included.

    • Signature Type Cover, Surface Pen, and Surface Arc Mouse each sold separately

They've made it quite clear you have to pay for anything extra.

      • Signature is one of the several type covers which I think is why zzzperth was asking. Definitely not included though.

        • Yes, there are type cover (which is cheaper one) and signature type cover. It says Signature Type Cover, sold separately

          • @zzzperth: I bought one today. Definitely no cover.

  • That is really good! Does anyone think this deal stays for next couple of days? till the end of the weekend?

  • How is this different to this one? https://www.jbhifi.com.au/computers-tablets/tablets/microsof…

I surely must be missing something because if it's the same product this is an amazing deal!

  • no keyboard included, sad

  • I was waiting for a deal on these but this is only for the Platinum color. I wish they'd included the black on offer as well…

    • +1

They did. Black starts at 256GB model and is 15% off.

Next best thing is to get this if you’re ok with 256Gb and then put a Dbrand skin on it.

Going to grab myself one of these tomorrow upgrading from my pro 4. Pretty crazy how to pay for an extra 128gb of HDD is $420.

Keep seeing people argue about the lack of type-c port or thunderbolt. I have 1 device and that's my phone that has a type-c cable (and I rarely ever connect it to my comp). What else do people use daily for this to be such an issue?

    • Is there a big difference between the pro 4 and pro 6? What are you going to do with the old one?

      • +1

Quad core vs dual core. No fan so hopefully a bit quieter. Just got a replacement from Microsoft for my Pro 4 after going through a few over th dealing directly with Microsoft. Should have dealt with Harvey Norman in first place to save me the hassle I went through getting replacements.

I barely use my 256gb so just going to downgrade to 128gb and sell the eventual working replacement Microsoft sent me that has warranty from them.

        • Thanks mate. I've been looking at one for my wife but I also want to be able to play a few games on it during night shift at work. Nothing hardcore, size is more important than performance.

  • Has the deal ended? It's coming up as $1348 for me when I go to the webpage

  • If I had a dollar for every Surface Pro that fails at my workplace I would be pretty rich by now
