    It was listed in the email as a "managers special", so I figured it's not the standard price.

      Managers specials are nothing special, look up the deals submitted by the eb rep and you will see how popular they are. This isn't a bad price, but with a new nintendo console coming out, I'd be looking for a better deal. Eb are probably nervous they are sitting on a huge stockpile they might struggle to clear

  I really wish every single gamer would just boycott EB for a while; either force them to lower ALL their gaming prices, or get rid of the entire organisation.

  Anyway, nice of them to drop the Wii to this price… months after most of the others did so.

      True, but EB is usually REALLY bad compared to the rest.

      For eg, Dick Smith also has a Wii at $199, but is offering NSMB Wii with it, which retails for like $70 anyway: http://dicksmith.com.au/product/YG4119/wii-red-with-new-supe…

  Yeah, $199 is overpriced, usually you get 1-2 more games with it for $199.

  For just the system, best deal so far is $178 which was listed here somewhere not long ago..

  I've negged just to help kill this thread, not to be rude. Not a deal, this needs to go.
