CableMod PRO Modmesh E-Series EVGA G3/G2/P2/T2 Cable Kits (8 Colorus Available) $99 (Was $139) + $15 Delivery @ PC Case Gear

40

Limited colors available compared to Cablemods website though.

These Cables are ONLY for EVGA G3 / G2 / P2 / T2 power supplies

The CableMod PRO Series begin with extra-thick wires for a fuller, more robust look by reducing the gap between each individual wire. Each cable is also constructed to completely eliminate merged terminals on the component side, which means that only clean, untangled wires are visible for an unmatched professional look.

To accentuate the look even further, the main cables each come pre-installed with matching premium closed cable combs. New hybrid cable combs are also thoughtfully included for the 4+4 pin EPS cable. These new combs combined with our community-developed color pattern and selection results in a bold, fresh aesthetic that will amplify the look of any build.

Delivery starts from $15 to $29.

  • I am just curious what are the benefits to use these after market cables (Given that power supply comes with cable already)

    • Aesthetics, that's it. But why would these cables only fit a certain power supply is the real question.

PSU's use a different pin arrangement so using the wrong cables could blow up some or all of your pc components.

        • this… tried using another psu cable for molex and it blew up my case fan controller 🤣

          • @Jugganautx: What brand was the PSU?

Normally they use proprietary ends, so if it's not compatible, it physically shouldn't even fit.

So it's EVGA's fault for using a non standard design. I have never had to swap cables for my PSU so honestly didn't know some companies used different layouts. But this seems like a shit thing for the industry.

@ZachBlasphemy: Nope there just isn't a standard layout for any company to follow.

Luckily PSU's last a long time with most decent ones with a 10+ year, warranty on my EVGA G2 has a 10 year warranty so who knows how much longer it will last after that.

Aesthetics, If you don't care what your PC looks like these are of no use to you.

  • Cables costing almost the same as the PSU? Unbelievable…

  • OMG, that's insane! The wires must be made of precious metal.

  • I went off pccg ever since they charged ridiculous amounts for crappy shipping. They wrapped it well sure, but you paid a boat load and their courier choices in my. Area sucked.

This is on top of holding you hostage with percentage increases for using conventional payment methods instead of bank transfer.
