Ooof this card is bad value in 2019.

      what isnt?

      • Vega 64 for $340 usd recently. That's about $500 after shipping which is pretty wild.

        • +1

That's pretty crazy considering they are performance comparable to a GTX 1080 or in between a RTX 2060 and RTX 2070.

          Definitely good value imho.

Yea much prefer 2060, rt590 is just a overclocked 470 same architecture higher clock speed so is the power draw. 2060 has 1080 power, only thing concern is its 4k ability due to relative small gram

      Cheapest 2060s are $550ish.

      That's a huge jump from $370.

Smaller die size than the RX480/580 12nm process means slightly higher clock speeds.

  • +1

Seeing as the 590 is just a refresh of the 580, which is a refresh of the 480, it'd be smarter just to pick up an RX 480 as they now usually cost somewhere in the low 200's and are only marginally slower than the 590.

Or a 570 which is nearly on par with a 480 and can be had for about $190-$210. Also they come with Resident Evil 2 and Devil May Cry 5.

      • The division 2 as well.

        *It's a choice between 2 of these 3.

    • Or a 2nd hand R9 290/390, which are about the same speed again just require more juice.

  • +1

Just go for a 580. The 590 is marginally better tmk, but also a chunk priceier.

  • This is only worth it for those interested in and planning to buy the games.

    • Definitely. If you were planning on grabbing all 3 the value's better then the 580… otherwise, just grab the 580.
