looking at the pros and cons of both Vodafone pocket wifi and Optus Alcatel wifi modem.
I went and bought the Optus Alcatel as it will work on Vodafone's SIM if it is unlocked for USD99c.
The Optus Alcatel gives you a better coverage for all Networks including Telstra.
The C9 only has 512MB of RAM & runs Android Go-I mainly use mine for Snapbridge with my Nikon Coolpix B500 & streaking Spotify & Apple Music.
Any idea if Huawei R216H is unlocked and if it will work with Docomo/softbank JP frequency bands?
Band 8, 11 and 28 is missing for DOCOMO/KDDI/SOFTBANK

And I got it rather than officeworks deal because: dual channel wifi, antenna slots, unlocked, cheaper by a couple $ (compared to the other one + unlock from eBay.)
what is the benefits of dual channel wifi?

Yeah actually I called Vodafone and checked on that website of yours, it’s unlocked.
But when I put other simcard it doesn’t work and I was told it needs APN settings update, is this normal?
Yes mate you will need to put the carrier you're trying to use, APN settings in. Should be good to go then.
@fd28lk: I wish I could, can’t connect to WiFi portal it just doesn’t load up oh well it’s good as it is
@fd28lk: Where do I find this? I put in a Catch mobile sim (optus network). The network settings on the pocket WiFi say "automatic" which then I changed to "Catch 4g" and still doesn't work. Am I missing something?
The C9 is 50c cheaper at Big W, however they still charge $59 for the pocket wi-fi. The C9 seems to regularly go for half price, perhaps because it is 3G only so it is really only good as a burner.
