LG 70'' UHD UK6540PTA (Plus $170 Gift Voucher) for $1695 Click & Collect or + Delivery @ Harvey Norman

120

70 inch LG with bonus $170 Harvey Norman gift voucher - making TV effectively $1525.

Part of HN's 10% cashback in gift vouchers promotion on LG products.

Same as this post but with $170 gift card. (https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/434680)

Apparently those with Amex can also purchase Domayne gift vouchers to make it even cheaper.

Can't stand Harvey Norman, but when the price is right, one can make exceptions.

Not as good as the Bing Lee Ebay price over the weekend. $1356 I believe, Harvey's floor price for this model is $1600 when I asked them to price match Bing Lee.

  • So the gift voucher can be used toward the cost of the TV?

    • No, next purchase.

      • Oh. OP made it sound that way. Ah well.

  • Looks like they are making the marketing direction towards OLED this year and clearing all lcd panels…

    • Hope so price further down.

  • I got this TV from Binglee deal. 70" one is different from 65 in number of things. It's VA panel (65 uses IPS) so 70 will have better contrast but worse viewing angles. Backlight bleeding can be seen but it's not as horrible as people claim. Most importantly it's got local dimming (which came as a surprise) and magic remote too.

I got one on the same deal and I'm very happy.

It is on odd one in the range though. Whilst it seems to naturally sit at the top of this series in size, it does have some key differences as you point out. They seem to mostly be favourable though
