      And Westpac

      • But surely it would suits the banks better if women stayed as women given their proclivity for shopping and excessive spending on credit cards, amirite fellas?

        • Careful they don’t adopt you.

@chymb: I'm pretty surprised by how many conservative culture warriors came out of the woodwork to rail against… women playing AFL, of all things?

Seems like a strange hill to die on, but I guess to them it's all part of Making Men Great Again.

            • @Pantagonist: I'm not surprised that people correlate stating women's AFL has less skill than men's, with hating women. It's just as dumb

@Whomastadon: See my post on the first page where I sum up all the lovely comments. The language in this discussion has gone far beyond simply stating that the women are less skillful than the men on a number of occasions, and to pretend otherwise is being intentionally naive.

No one, not even the AFLW players themselves, would think that their skills are a match with the men's league. It doesn't require pointing out as it's so incredibly obvious.

                • @Pantagonist: Welcome to the internet.

People are allowed to post their opinions.

Stating the fact that now the novelty of AFLW is over and they need to give out free tickets is not " hating on women "

                  • @Whomastadon: When was your right to post an opinion ever restricted? I certainly never advocated for such a thing to occur. Just imagined censorship from your side, I'm assuming.

The AFLW has always been free to my knowledge, barring the odd game here and there where ticket prices have gone towards funding free public transport to venues and contributing towards charitable causes.

To say that "it's now free so it deserves to die in the ass" makes no sense, because it's always been ostensibly "free", capiche?
