  • How much are they worth now? All these points are confusing me.

used to be the easiest way citi->gift card $100=20900

buyin stuff is always overpriced, points + ($ more than retail)

btw it's only showing 1=1 and no 15% added to total.

If my numbers are correct we have:

2 Citibank points transfers to 2 Flybuy points and is worth $0.01 when converted to $

2 Citibank points gives 1 Velocity point which is worth around $0.011-$0.012 when sold on the forums.

The bonus 15% flybuys points makes it comparable to airline point transfers if you are after cash, it’s probably less hassle too.

But if you can wait, there are occasional Citibank bonuses for transfers to Velocity points. I think you are better off with those deals.

    • In context, converting Citibank points to cash directly comes to $0.004 per point.

So is velocity/flybuys points conversion the best way to get value out of them? I know it's irrelevant, but wants store occasionally has sale which increases the value of the points at times.

  • From what I can see, 1.33 citi points = 1 flybuy point, and plus 15% bonus, so you can get 1.15 flybuy points from 1.33 citi points.

Need 20900 citi points to redeem Coles $100 gift card.

With 15% bonus, 20900 citi points can be transferred to 18071 flybuys points. But need 20000 flybuys points for Coles $100 gift card. So give up.

      Depends which card you have:
Signature and Prestige cardholders: Currently 1 Citi reward Point equals 1 flybuys point.
Platinum cardholders: Currently 1.33 Citi reward Points equals 1 flybuys point.
Classic and Gold cardholders: Currently 2 Citi reward Points equals 1 flybuys point.

      • Just realized different cards got different rate.

        Thanks,

  • Too complicated. Just give me cash. Enough saying

  • so you need 20000 flybuy points to get a $100 gift card. how many points do Signature and Prestige cardholders need to get a $100 on the citirewards website?

  • did the transfer last week, but only received the transferred points, not the bonus points, is there a waiting period?

    • Citi reward Points transferred for flybuys points will be credited to your flybuys account within 21 business days.

Only can see the above information, no idea for bonus points.

    • I haven't got the bonus yet either

  • Sometimes there is a promotion when you have 15% bonus points for transfer of Flybuys points to Velocity.
Does that mean in doing this transfer (assuming a 1 to 1 transfer with a Citi Signature card), you would get 15% extra Flybuys points.
Then wait for the 15% bonus points when transferring Flybuys to Velocity (usually a few times a year).
Meaning 30% extra points from Citi Rewards to Velocity?

  • yes I called and fb will add the bonus in a few wks. so you'll never know

    • Did you get your bonus points? I just did a transfer.
