  • How to sign up TGGC membership?

    • are you a member of any union?

      • +10

The PSU - Professional Shoppers Union.

        • +4

Then you gotta wait for it

      • Do you know if any company can register or is it only large companies?

    • I know someone that's a member of one of the big unions, how do they access this?

  • Are these things still pretty much useless without the keyboard?

    • +3

Wouldn’t go as far as useless. But you’ll definitely want the keyboard.

      Updated thanks

  • Whats the typical price ?

    • that's as low as you can get now if you are TGG commercial member

      • yeah im a member, tryna decide between surface and macbook

    • RRP is $1849 in the regular store.

  • Can anyone tell me the price for the Samsung Note 9 512gb? (unable to search without logging in)

    • +3

      $1687.00

  • +3

    Maybe price error again!!haha

  • I really need a new surface, got a new job as a graphics designer but 2.8k is too steep for me. I wish I was a member.. damn these deals.

  • +1

Sub $1000 with the type cover is a ripper deal. Thanks OP- will probably get the business on board GG Commercial for the deal!

  • That's a HUGE price jump for an extra 128gb

  • +2

Amazing deal for the 128GB model, and a fast quality microSD card would help mitigate the smaller capacity.

    • apparently 30% slower SSD speed though.
      https://www.notebookcheck.net/Microsoft-Surface-Pro-6-2018-i…
      Still a great deal.

      • +1

Yep, hence why I said mitigate.

Not as good as the internal SSD, but 128GB would be plenty for Windows, apps and some main files, will the microSD can serve for extra files like videos and photos.

It’s just not worth the $350 for the extra 128GB SSD (totalling 256GB) when for most a 256GB microSD for under $100 would do the trick for a total of 384GB.

  • Man, awesome price, just wish I could buy it lol.

  • +1

Excellent price. Pity I got a go a few months ago. Probably about the same spend with cover. Still tempted, flip the go. Even if I only got $600 for the go and keyboard it's worth a thought…

  • Anyone a member of gdayrewards.com.au and can confirm you can get this deal? Seems like yhe 50$ 2 year membership would be worth it.

    • Would also like to know tis!

    • Can confirm access via gdayrewards

      • How does this work? I can't see anything on their site?

        • You can sign up through g'day rewards but TGG commercial sign up takes up to a week to come through.

          • @Jav79: Hmmmm. That sounds like a problem. Thanka

          • @Jav79: welp wish i knew this before i did it hahahahaaha

  • I wonder if Harvey would price match? I have store credit I've got to use.

  • I would like to get this deal as well. Anyone know how to register?

    • -1

I see you can join online but does that automatically give you access to tgg commercial?

  • -7

While is a good I will neg as Joe doe normal consumer can't get one. Yes u can same for Costco but Joe doe can buy membership. I say this deals should banned as we are consumer site not commerical. What do others think

    • +4

Disagree. It's available to a TON of people, even if you aren't one of them.

      • Join a union, it's the only way to bargain!

      • +1

Trace back to the previous Sony headphone deal then you would find many ways to get access to the TGG commercial.
        Complaint doesn't help.

    • +1

I am a consumer and have access to commercial benefits. Should we also ban Amazon prime, ebay plus, targetted offers, location specific deals? Those who don’t have access shouldn’t complaint about sour grapes but should try finding whether they have access to these benefits. Chances are that many who can have access aren’t aware of it.

      • -2

You missed the point prime membership can be purchased by normal consumer and regard as consumer Next ozbargain is consumer bargains. So would u be happy that there is a lot of commerical deals started to flood and u cant buy them. Targeted offers is not commerical so either. Might be a good idea start discussion thread on commerical deals and discuss it there

        • +4

There are heaps of deals posted here that I cannot buy and I don’t go negging them. Because, people who can buy them, deserve to know that there are better prices available for them. It’s Ozbargain which means any bargain in Australia. Not Joe Doe bargain that are available to unemployed.
Also there is stuff posted that is only used by businesses, should we ban that too because I cannot use it in home environment. And tell me if you had access to this, would you still be negging it?

        • -2

I agree. I want one and cannot get. Tried to sign up but the blocked my access.

          • @dlakers3peat: So you agree to ban everything just because it’s not accessible to you?
You wouldn’t agree if it was available to you?

  • Is there a link somewhere to the actual specs? Want to check if this has an hdmi port?

    • +2

Here's the exact same product from TGG Public Site.

      • Is this the 128 version?

        • +2

The one you linked is the same 128GB Platinum Bundle on TGG Commercial.

          • @RichardL: Cheers mate. Turns out im eligible for TGGC membership, im just waiting for it to process. Will grab one of these.

  • +4

Remember you can create a quote and lock in the price for 30 days if you don't want to buy now.

  • Anyone know when this deal will end?

  • How long does it take to receive the commercial website login?

    • +1

Bought the g'day rewards membership and submitted my details for the TGG commercial login yesterday. Still waiting for the login details.

      • +1

My union is eligible for membership, I applied and sent in a photograph of my union card. Figured the applications with pictures would be easier to process. Maybe medicare and good guys commercial have merged offices.

      • I did the same on 7th feb and still waiting for login detail.

        • I read somewhere that it might take a week to receive the login details. So fingers crossed.

        • Received the login details this morning. Noticed the deal on the surface laptop. Now I'm confused.

          • @masaladosa: I just got the login details. Trying to decide between surface laptop and this.

            • @RangeTolkoma: I'm used to traditional laptops. I'm not sure if I'll be able to adjust to using a tablet.

  • Damn this is killer even tho I cant get. Tempted to get one for work. Have a yoga but cumbersome to carry around on rounds. Figure a Surface with the pen will negate my issue with losing my lists. Probs could just get an actual notebook but surface.

Btw anyone able to post or send a screenshot of the actual page with the details for the 256gb and also the type cover bundles? Thanks in advanced and if not no worries.

  • +1

I've got access to this deal and more than willing to purchase on your behalf. OB has been awesome for me in the past - happy to give back.

  • -1

can someone please post the screenshot of the actual offer for Microsoft Surface Pro 6 Platinum Bundle?
Useful for trying a price match at BL or JBHF

  • does it normally take the whole 5 days to register i only did it on saturday also i wonder if good guys would price match if they can see that i can get it at that price ftom their commercial sector i just need to get it sooner than later for school thanks.

    • Did it Sunday got mine today

  • Just a heads up i rang good guys and they matched the price for me i explained that i was waiting for my commercial membership to come into effect but i wanted it now shop assistant was really good and also did a deal with the pen and warranty happy days. i went for the $978 bundle

      • directly to the store guy said am i buying today i said yes he said he wants my business so we both win i did the deal with the pen and warranty at store wasnt going to get the warranty or pen today but did an alright deal with them i think!! i got pen and 3yr warranty for $219 i dont normally do warranties but was happy with it as is for a school computer

        • Thanks for your info.

  • https://www.australianunions.org.au/new_exclusive_benefit_fo… signed up here with my dads union membership number, ordered the base model i5 and pen ($85), Good deal

    • Yet people above want these deals to be banned.

      • I wouldn't have known about this deal if it wasn't on here the pro wasn't even on my radar dollar wise until this

  • Thanks

  • I think the sp6 bundle with type cover is unavailable now, unless someone can link me to it?

    • I can’t see the bundle deal either!

  • It appears that on the normal Good Guys website, this bundle has become a Special order when it use to be avaliable:

    https://www.thegoodguys.com.au/microsoft-surface-pro-6-i5-12…

One thing to note is, it appears they have removed all the Surface Pros from the site and the i7 surfacebook as well.

    • 😪 I missed out. I was looking on surface pro yesterday and planning to buy today :( Will the deal be back?

  • Is surface pro 6 bundle still available? And how much is the 256gb model i5? Thank you

    • Appears like they have taken it off🙁

  • Just for everyones information, I had a quote sitting in my account and I called up Good Guys commercial and they have said they will honor the quote. They will need to manually process it thougth. I forwarded the quote pdf to [email protected] and they provided a order for me to pay for.

    • Hey, i did save the quote, and called and they processed it manually, however the next day they called back saying 'The supplier said the product is no longer available and they cannot honor the quote' can you let me know if you got a different answer? It also seems all the surface products apart form the keyboard and pen are gone from the site now.

      • Hi mate, I have not gotten a call as of yet letting me no its me longer avaliable however I am not sure what the status of my order is either. Will be giving them a call on monday to check.

        • Hey, in the end i was not able to get the bundle as the supplier longer has the stock. However i saw that the good guys near me (Alexandria) was selling the i5 for $1349, i called up commercial and i was was able to get them price the i5 by itself for $970 (which was the price on the commercial website before they took it down) and buy the pro signature keyboard at $152 and the pen at &85. So in total i paid $1207 which is still a pretty good deal, basically a free pen and better keyboard for $40 less. compared the the other deals running on atm. Picked it up yesterday.

  • There is a bundle offer available in Microsoft website. 1249$ for pro6 i5 128GB/8Gb with type cover. Still cheaper compared to current student offers with retail shops.

  • I purchased SP6 platinum 128/8GB from Harvey Norman Ballarat store for 1249$. Bundle offer. They price matched Microsoft website and also gave signature type cover for that price. Staff were good.
Also got 3 year Protection plan for discounted price.

  • Just tried to buy through my quote. Not working. Daaaaamn

  • Anyone know if they are still available or back in stock?
