Any true bargainer would make sure they are single on valentines day or convince that valentines day has changed to march

A true ozbargainer who only marry/date another cheapskate. and they'd go out to dinner on Feb 13 or 15. In saying that, I don't think my wife finds my cheapskate nature particularly appealing.

      • Flowers are still expensive feb 13!

  • I'll probably just get some free from work :)

    • The cemetery?

      • The florist shop, I'm a poor bugger delivering them!

        • Hook us up bro! Service to the OzBargain community.

    Its about $100 for 6 + cashback of $25?
So $75 for 6 roses delivered. The Ozbargainer inside me say 'No'…the roses dies within a week or two.

What else to get that has better value?

    • The $120 for 12 is not so bad at $90 after cashback.
Or you can go to Aldi and get the 50 for $50 on the day.

Thanks op. Grabbed the 12. Still feel its very expensive.

  • As a Husband to a Florist, PLEASE use your local florist this valentine day. While there are some florists out there who will provide a shocking quality product in the name of getting sales out the door, there are many more who are dedicated to providing something beautiful for your loved ones. Use google reviews and check Instagram/Facebook to inspect their work before buying.

Interflora is more than a relay agent, they also act as quality assurance and are constantly reviewing and following up Florists to keep them up to scratch. So look for the logo if your buying in-store or online. I've been dragged (not really, free food) to enough Interflora conferences to know how serious they are about this.

If you order through Interflora you have a guarantee that the product received will be fresh and of good quality.

And keep in mind, the wholesalers who supply the flowers this Valentine Day will do their best to screw the pricing as high as possible. While the supermarkets are destroying another industry with their cut-price offerings (which are usually the leftovers that many florists refuse to use). So rocks and hard places come to mind.

    Cheers.

    • I think supermarkets supply flowers at reasonable prices, unlike florists. I have no loyalty for rip off places. Plus, these are a moment present. They dont last forever and are not worth spending too much on

    • well, I would be tempted to support my local, but when the prices go up 10 fold for one particular day of the year, I will vote with my wallet

    • Actually pretty pissed off with the quality of my delivery. Roses were received wilted and not fresh. Have emailed interflora and florist with no reply.
