Fractal Design Meshify Mini C (Dark Tempered Glass) PC Case $109 + Shipping @ PC Case Gear

600

Very good case for the price (normally $149), with a dark tempered glass look, a mesh front (with magnetic removable dust filters on the top as well), good thermals, good all-around design and a small footprint.

Do note it only fits Micro ATX and Mini ITX boards. It's the smaller version of the also excellent Fractal Design Meshify C and has a fairly heavily tinted tempered glass side.

This deal is great mainly for those who live in VIC and gets the cheapest shipping rate, as shown below,

VIC - $12
NSW - $27
QLD - $28
SA - $28
WA - $40

Pretty massive for a Matx case, the ATX version gives lots more mobo options for 4cm more in one dimension.

    • It's not the biggest mATX, for example the ATX version is the same size as a Phanteks Enthoo Evolve mATX TG, which is only mATX/mITX, so I found that to be a compact ATX case, and this is smaller than that so, it can't be that big, yes I'm sure something is smaller, but how is its intake, it's features, etc?

yeah us in WA get shafted with PCCG shipping.

That will introduce a whole set of other problems !

As a former Taswegian, I was about to counter that at least you can get stuff from them at all. But I made an account just to check first, it's $28 to Hobart.

      • Sky has fallen that you guys get cheaper postage now!!

    • $46 for standard OZ post to QLD $55 if i want Startrack express. Which is the reason i didn't buy my new case from PCCG a while back

      • Is a bit sad when I paid 25 usd for dhl international express for a case.

        • Mine was free shipping with prime

          • @marko62: Yeah shame not many sffpc case (sub 13L) is available on amazon prime

We get fked by all shipping m8, not just PCCG.

      • Most places are reasonable. I got 2 x AM4 mounting kits. 1 kit - $7.90. 2 kits $7.90 from Techbuy, PCCG was like about $13 off memory for just one kit.

PCCG are the best at it by far though.

    • PCCG, renowned for price jacking on shipping.

Tried to buy items on several occassion, but their shipping for exact item, was always at least 50 - 100% more than their cheapest competitor.

I guess if you live within distance and pickup is an option, they do have one of the best selection of computer hardware and accessories, but they aeriously take pi$$ when it comes to shipping.

      • haha i remember wanting a part that cost less than a dollar and them wanting to charge me over $10 shipping (for something that could have easily fitted in an envelope). never bought from then again, probably 15 years now.

        • I remember most computer stores were like that in the 90s and 2000s. Want a flash drive? That'll be our most expensive shipping option.

Price gouging is why we sought out alternatives such as ebay and overseas stores. I can get so many things cheaper, better quality, and often even sooner overseas than from Australian stores. Even after the Gerry Harvey tax.

    • The problem with WA is that you are so far away.

We consulted recently for a company in the transport industry and the issue is most items go via truck or train to WA - it literally costs 4-5 times more to ship something to WA from SYD.MELB.QLD where most of the businesses (and wealth) is.

You are paying a truck driver 5x longer let alone the decreased volume and thus increased cost of local distribution once the item gets to WA.

Whereas from MELB-SYD there are nightly semi loads going on a daily basis with full trucks.

Bear in mind these are all private transport companies and not like Aust post which heavily subsidises the costs of delivery.

Good case, but be aware that its sequel, Meshify S2, is coming out real soon.

    • +9

Meshify S2 is already available now. The size of Meshify S2 and Meshify C differ greatly, Meshify S2 is belong to Define S, S2 family, while Meshify C belong to Define C family.

      • I've got the first Meshify C with tinted TG but god DAMN that S2 looks incredible

  • Nice case, got the white version for $149 a couple months ago.

  • +1

Similar size to the Define C Mini…I'm just a little worried regarding the PSU size as mine is 180mm but this recommends only 175mm.

    • I have a corsair rm850i at 180mm and it's a bit of squeeze but fits.

  • Have this case, only issue is the front filter is not removable and any RGB fans are kinda pointless as the thick filter dampens the effect

    other than that its great

only issue is the front filter is not removable

      Er … yes it is?

      • I talking about the foam filter. Not the plastic mesh which it is embedded in and can be taken off to access from fans

        • I just put the whole dust filter / panel thing under a tap and wash out the dust. You can also just vacuum the dust out on both sides.

    • You could move those fans elsewhere and install regular ones there :)

      • Yep but this is my first case with RGB fans, want to enjoy it while the fad lasts

also this is what it would look like : https://imgur.com/a/TpVYtY8

I still prefer my SilverStone Temjin TJ08.
Oldy but a goody with the biggest fan in any case I've ever owned, it's huge (180mm).
Also plenty of room for everything.
Got one for my Media server & one for gaming.

    • That's really cool, I wonder if it would cause any issues mounting a gfx card upside down.

    • +1

Just replaced my TJ08 with a Define Mini C and it's much quieter, also much tidier. Sad that it added 2cm height and depth though but it's under the desk so I'll forget about it soon enough.

  • I wonder how this compares to the NZXT H200i I got recently. They look similar in size (not compact for mATX but compact for ATX which sounds odd but was exactly what I was after)

if only my Antec 900 wasn't still going strong from literally a decade ago. new cases are so beautiful and well built. this gets really positive reviews

    • This is the reason to buy a quality case. My Antec 900 has had 4 computer go through its innards. :)

      • I only replaced my Antec P160 late late year. It had 3 or 4 rebuilds as well.

      • Mine has considerable rust on the grills near the fan intakes, but that just shows she's a lady of the world. She's seen things, been places.

        • Same here i'm just looking to replace it now with this case. Rusty and dusty but has served me well. I'm looking for some filters to help maintain a nicer case for longer.

  • 7.41kg u gotta be kidding

    • Net weight is 6.28kg.

  • I recently bought a Corsair case which is very similar and was surprised to discover (should have noticed beforehand) that there is no 5.25” bay to put the DVD drive to install Windows etc.

I did the install with the drive hanging out the side.

I know you can install via USB but I have Windows 7 on DVD which upgrades to 10 for free still if you happen to have kept the Accessability Uprade exe.

    • U can buy windows 10 pro key on ebay for like $6 and if you must use a disk, Its worth investing in a USB blu ray burner

  • what’s the regular price range
