At the price point, anyone know if you can get better from Bunnings? Amateur here with the need for a power drill to start teaching myself a few home maintenance stuff.

    • Keep in mind this is a hammer drill mainly for drilling into masonry. If you want a standard one look at this deal which is very good value for money. Been using the impact driver all this morning to assemble flat packs without any issues.

      • Will be popping down tomorrow morning! Thanks mate.

  • The old man has had one of these for a few years, just for odd jobs round the house, he loves his & its still going strong.

    • Do you know if 45Nm is sufficient for most things? Is there anything better available for same sort of money?

      • There are many 18v/20v drills with the same or better torque ratings than this one, including those which share batteries with other tools if you expand your collection. Ironically, Aldi themselves sell a variety of 20v tools with interchangeable "Xfinity" batteries under the same Workzone Titanium brand.

      • I wish you were asking this question yesterday.
        I bought this for $50 - https://www.ebay.com.au/itm/ToolPro-Brushless-Hammer-Drill-1…

Thanks to chyawala from https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/435640 node.

        • I bought this toolpro drill from SCA website (original post), used it over the weekend to drill into masonry and then to tighten a few screws and really liked it :)

  • Is this part of their X-finity battery swappable range?

  • I don’t know about quality but I tend to think in the years to come it might be easier to have replacement batteries from Ozito or Ryobi than Aldi’s brand. Just my thinking.
