    All Xiaomi bootloaders are locked. I'd assume this one is too. You can request to have the bootloader unlocked. Will take a few days.

        I'm actually doing it right now for my Redmi Note 3. Turn developer mode on, find that menu, open that item, and assign your Mi account to that phone… then you wait.

        Yes, you must create a Mi account.

            @Insert2Coins: The only one I really trust is Lineage OS. For my Redmi Note 3 though, whoever was maintaining that has quit. I'm hunting for one at the moment.

    Main reason to get this one would be the 'cool' factor. The all-screen front looks amazing.

    The S9+ is still the better overall phone.

    Someone mentioned here once that you don't know if batteries are replaced with refurbed phones. Knowing that, I'd be inclined to get a brand new one every time. If I could afford a phone, that is. This one's not within my budget.
