Cool Toy Developmental Basketball Machine Anti-stress Handheld Game boy Girl Children

The only two things I agree with in AliExpress’ title is “Toy” and “Handheld”.

  • +27

That is silly cheap. These things should be in the "pre-landfill" category.

  • +5

We used them in kids party bags a few years ago. They liked it because it went in the hoop almost 100% of the time.

  • Better than Gameboy.

    Don't forget cashback

    • Lucky you remind me

  • These remind me of those mini pinball toys you'd get from Maccas or whatever ages ago.

    • you do realise kmart is owned by a conglomorate https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wesfarmers

big corporations suck money out of the economy, that's why the rich get richer

      • -7

They employ Australians and pay tax locally.

No wonder this country is going to crap if people happy to save 50 cents buying foreign crap or foreign food instead of supporting local jobs

        • +6

if you want to give wesfarmers 85c profit that's your perogative

but to say it keeps money in australia is disingenuous, you can save 85c keep your money in your own australian bank account

          • -6

@abctoz: Aliexpress is owned by Alibaba. You prefer to give your money to a Chinese conglomerate that pays no tax and rips of intellectual property owners by selling counterfeit items??

            Feel sorry for you

            • +1

              @chumlee: aliexpress pays 10% gst

most of the stuff in kmart is chinese made anyway, where is the IP enforcement as you claim?

              • -4

@abctoz: Kmart charges GST too, employs locals, pays payroll taxes & income tax (wesfarmers)

Aliexpress sells counterfeit items online - that's intellectual property theft

                • +2

@chumlee: maybe they do, but does it apply here?

the point is its 15c on aliexpress, and $1 in kmart as you claim

do i really need to give wesfarmers an extra 85c?

                  • -3

@abctoz: I would rather pay 85 cents extra and keep jobs in Australia. You can do what you like though

                    • +2

@chumlee: yes i'll keep 85c in my pockets instead of giving it to a conglomerate thanks

        • Next you'll be insisting free trade agreements have been great for everyone even though their only purpose is to enslave people by lowering wages and moving jobs offshore.

          • @Diji1: Free trade lol.

What part of the agreement is free?

  • Limit of 1 for big kids……..

Thanks liberal government for taxing us on purchases while big multinational businesses get away with billions.

        • -1

Why not just purchase items from Australian retailers who employ Australians, and pay tax in this country, rather than save 1c on tax for items like this?

Unless I'm mistaken, you guys are putting forward the argument that having an import tax is bad for Australians yet advocating for policies that hurt Australian retailers and push jobs overseas?

          • @c0balt: This item would be the same price locally if it wasn’t for tax?

            • -1

@orangetrain: No, because we have a higher standard of living and rent ain't cheap.

Not for much longer anyway, the political parties people recommend to save 1c tax are hell bent on equalising the living standards of living with those fresh of the boat.

        • +1

I agree but there are many websites that have not taken the tax and re-adjusted the amount, eBay amazon and many of the large group companies have done this, how do we know most Chinese websites like this or taobao have followed?

  • kobe~

Guy had one on his desk for about an hour, the owner threw it in the bin - annoying as hell to listen to.

  • Do they accept Afterpay?

  • Why not just purchase items from Australian retailers who employ Australians, and pay tax in this country, rather than save 1c on tax for items like this?
